Occasionally I’ll point out its weaknesses, otherwise, I don’t have that much of a problem with 8K tvs coming forth. People are free to choose what they want to buy, it’s not like there are real repercussions to our democracy.

I think Robert Z. likes ‘em and he’s probably seen more 8K/4K tvs side by side than anyone else here. I’d personally prefer consumer electronics manufacturers work on other things but like they listen to what I have to say in that regard. A positive feature I do see with the introduction of 8K tvs is that it has ignited R&D into AI machine learning upscaling methods turning away from conventional upscaling methods which is probably long overdue.

You're just too old Penton for that John Wick stuff.

I agree with you JW3 was more of a formula movie with not enough plot and too many fighting scenes.

The first was the best...new and fresh.
The second expanded on the first with the number of kills and bullets.
The third just went overboard.
The fourth, I can't wait to see what they'll come up with.

Those are comedy/action kungfu chop suey flicks with sticks and guns and knives, a la Kill Bill Tarantino similarity. Kids stuff, and grownup kids with a taste of excitement.

I wouldn't recommend to romantic sweet hearts like normal wives and girlfriends and sisters and mothers. It's for boys with toys.

The HDR picture is simply fantastic. And the sounds of guns are fun.
The quick splashes of CGI blood in tandem with wicked Wick.

I miss Bruce ... and Chuck. And I miss the good Italian westerns ... Sergio Leone with Ennio Morricone's musical scores. John Wick is techno beat rhythm disco sounds and lights.

I want to see Anna next, from the Frenchman film director ... Luc Besson.

Just watched JW3. That's one of the bestest action movies I have ever seen. Ever. Still kinda stunned TBH.

I don’t know Anna but if you’re intrigued by strong female characters…..back in the day when she lived in north Orange County occasionally I rode the local trails with this little sista , whom you never know, you may run into someday up there in your neck of the woods if you cross the channel from your island. And if so, give her a hearty thumbs up.

* Atomic Blonde was fun, Hanna (2011), Evelyn (Salt), Captain Marvel, Black Widow, La Femme Nikita, Leeloo (5th Element), Mathilda (Leon the Pro), Lucy, ...

Of course I like strong female characters ...
