nope, nothing about any new maps! and if what you mentioned about some new maps was true, then those guys need to stop worrying about new maps and help the rest of the slantsix goons fix the game!

well aside from the not being able ot join friends from the in game friends list .. i havent seen too many issues in hte last few days with it >?? i have experienced almost no lag whatsoever .. so i dont know what you expect them to fix now really ??? i want new maps cause the current new maps are basically all the same and lame as hel.l

Well there still is lag, it is minor but it is there. There is also a serious host freeze boot issue right now.. if you are host and play three maps.. you will eventually freeze and require a reboot, and 50% of the time more players will get booted, and the room will have a round that will not end.

Besides those issues, they are still missing some game functions that where supposed to be in launch, and are in manual and in book, namley the in game clan tournaments and in game clan ranking / wars.

Oh and if you want to see guaranted lag, try to pull up your friends list in game.. that takes 45 seconds, and than scroll through the list, it takes 7-10 seconds per name to scroll through.. making party system useless, and the join game from messegaes in game useless as well.

I am enjoying the game but I am not blind to what it is missing and what fixes it needs. The game is still not complete or what I would call a game ready to be launched.. as it is missing some features it is suppose to have still.. but the game is playable and is fun which is more than I can see when it launched.

well i dont care abput clan stuff much as i have already gone thru 2 disasters over hte years with being in clans and things go bad .. so i am a solo runner now
and sorry but LAG WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO SOME DEGREE .. there will never be any game that never has lag ..

but it is fun again to play i did buy the game on launch and played for alike a week before i decided it better to wait for fixes before my love of the game was ruined ..

i definitely agree with you, new maps would be nice! i just wish they would focus on fixing whats wrong first. i really like this game and i intend on playing it for along time. i've witnessed all of the problems that DezNutz mentioned along with some crazy rank stuff where people aren't ranking up and others are losing their rank.

don't get me wrong I love this game, have for a long time, and I plan on getting the platinum.. as it is fun to play, but there is always room for improvement, this game just has more room than the average game.. I can be more picky since it is online only, so when there is online issues, it affects the entire game.

well maybe being a socom player since the forst one i am just so use to there being problems .. no socom has ever debuted without some major issues .. though lag and connection issues was usually predominant .
so maybe i just knew not to expect anything different .. especially from a first time dev for hte game ( sorry their PSP socom game was nothing like the normal socoms )

i mean i remember being in the first 2 betas and every bug that was in hte beta was still there on final release ...

I am an original Socom player as well, and since you are not in a clan, I can bet I have been a more "serious" socom player than you since the start. Been in the same clan since month 1 of socom, and have been in every Socom beta from Socom 1 through confrontation. I can tell you that there where fixes from each beta prior to final game, so not sure what you are referring too there, yes there where some bugs in betas that made it into the game as well.. but that happens with every game not just Socom.

Yes, every Socom has had issues, but this is the first that was unplayable when released. Literally unplayable, which is just incomprehensible that a game could be released online only and be unplayable. Alot of this still resides today, even though the game is playable for the most part. (servers went down again last night making it unplayable for couple hours). it is the first socom that is missing features it has promised to have from the start as well.

I enjoy playing it. I don't always enjoy the others that do, they get annoying.

Yeah the try to add all these diff. things to the game and the need to fix the severs so much lag!!Get the game play right before adding anything!!!!

I am enjoying the game, and I love the fact the trophies are not for average trophy *****s..

got bout 25% done now.. but if anything slant 6 should of not made promises they could not keep... still no clan ladders ect..

I enjoyed it while playing, but I left the game behind before the trophy update and doubt I'll go back.

Like everything else, it gets old after a bit (unlike WoW

).

While I would have liked everything that was on the box right away, the game was fun and I don't feel like I wasted any cash or time playing it (only played in private clan games for the most part).

Think I'm going to crack open Fallout 3 soon and wait to try out Killzone 2.

i started playing this game like 3 weeks before the update and i had heard all the horror stories about the game and the servers. with that said, i have never had any problems. it played fine for me before the patch and now it definitely plays fine. smooth as can be...

i havent had any problems either .. some lag here and htere but its usually just a bad host anyway ..
