Another added bonus is that Warner won't be putting HD DVD discs into BD boxsets to taunt us anymore.

Actually rdjam has stated on AVS that he is now looking for a sub $300 profile 2 Blu-ray player. Even he has thrown in the towel.

I think it is dead now too. No wonder I have never seen the Samsung player in any stores near me. Although it does make a nice transition technology for HD DVD owners with 100s of discs.

This is a given. They both are under the same parent company of Time Warner. Both studio heads were even quoted in Home Media Magazine this week as saying that neutral stances needed to end.

This is fantastic news for the PS3 gamers as now Sony can concentrate on getting them those exclusive games they have been waiting for.
