Here's a subject change... Clemson punter Bradley Pinion is giving up his senior season and declaring himself for the draft. A punter. One punter was drafted last season and in the sixth round!

burner what do you think will happen to Suh? He's gonna be the biggest free agent we've seen in a while and like him or not he will probably get A MONSTER contract lol...

Raiders have the most cap space, we can sure use a player of his caliber, but I doubt he would even consider coming to us

I think the Jags have the most. You're next, and we are third.

The cowardly lions were getting the calls in the first half. But their "fans" never bring it up.Matthew Stafford choked in the last drive. He had over two minutes plus timeouts and a gifted fumble that gave them a first down. That's why they're the lions.Barry Sanders realized it,now Suh sees it.If you want to win you have to leave Detroit.

Our coaching search is all over the place, hopefully it's someone good who will develop Carr into a franchise qb...

If Suh wants his career to fade away into nothing, the raiders would be perfect. The Cowboys resurrected Rolando McLain's career. Now his potential can be reached.I guess that why your stadium is called the black hole. It's where football careers die..lol!!!

Been here 2+ years and all of sudden you pop in here. You're a hot and cold fan. There when they are hot and drops his team like a bad habit when they choke. Have fun watching Romo get pimp slapped next week. Get Clay and Julius some baby powder!

Actually we do have things to talk about between now and Saturday; I suggested one here:

Whereas NE's best offensive weapon, Gronk, would be easier to cover with LB's taking the strain off that suspect secondary.
Like the other three, I expect this to be a very good game. I just wouldn't be surprised if Baltimore pulled the upset.
I'm pulling for New England, as I can't stand Baltimore....and really want to see a Manning/Brady rematch!
I'd be curious to see which team people think has the edge at WR/TE. I'm more familiar with the Patriots receiving corps, on which you got Edelman, LaFell, Gronk, and Wright, plus as a RB, Vereen frequently runs out of the backfield for pass catching. I know the Ravens have the Smiths and Owen Daniels as major receivers, but I know they've got other WR/TEs who contribute too.

I think given each team's combination of QB and WR/TE, Ravens have more deep threat presence, but Patriots have more mobility, precision, and YAC potential.

Also, I think Flacco is in serious trouble this game... The Smiths should be shut down by Revis/Browner. Flacco doesn't exactly have many weapons, so it is vital for them to get Forsett going early. Otherwise, they stand no chance.

This Ravens team is not even close to the Ravens team that beat the Pats in the AFC Championship two years ago, and this Patriots team is better now than it was then IMO.

I loathe the Ravens as well... for obvious reasons. I hope they get blown out.

If the Pats OL plays like it did against the Chiefs, the Ravens will win. Otherwise, it's not happening.
Baltimore's front 7 is certainly tenacious, but I don't think New England's O-line will look like the one from the KC game: according to tonight's ep of Inside the NFL, everyone practiced today for the Patriots, including Dan Connolly, who has played LG very well since the Cincy game in Week 5.

And yes: this Patriots team has a much stronger secondary than the last 3-4 years.

I do agree that for all the focus on Joe Cool and Tom Terrific, run game will play a key role. Pats' run defense was weak earlier when Jerod Mayo went down and the team had only 3 days to adjust, but it's gotten better since then.

Similarly, I think Baltimore will need to defend the run well; if Blount and/or Gray get going they can be hard to stifle, and it buys Brady time with play-fakes. And Vereen usually goes Ver-rroom! a few times per game.

If this was happening Week 9, it would've seemed like a mismatch, but now it's anybody's game.

Least surprising news ever. This guy beat Adrian Peterson's 2 year old son to death, managed to be allowed out on bond, violated bond by going to a woman's home and choking her out and amazingly made bond a second time. Now he's violated his bond a second time. If this monster somehow gets let out a 3rd time the judge should be removed from the bench.

Man Charged With Killing Adrian Peterson's Son Allegedly Violates Bond

Remember Joseph Patterson? He's the man who was charged with murder over a year ago for allegedly beating to death Tyrese Ruffin, Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old son. He somehow made it out on bond, and was subsequently accused of violating that in June when he went to the house of Ann Doohen—Ruffin's mother, who he was dating at the time of the alleged beating—and choked her to the point of unconsciousness. We wondered at the time how Patterson made bond again despite being charged with murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and other crimes, and wouldn't you know it, he's accused of violating his bond again.

According to KELO TV in South Dakota, Patterson turned himself into the Jackson County courthouse Tuesday after he allegedly violated a protection order by "contacting a woman more than a dozen times in less than an hour this past weekend." The Argus Leader reports that woman is Doohen, who according to court documents answered her phone on January 3rd only to find Patterson on the line. After a short conversation Doohen hung up, but Patterson called back three more times. She finally answered again and had they had this conversation:

"He started telling the victim that he still loved her and wanted to be in a relationship with her," the documents say.

The victim told law enforcement she kept him on the phone until she could find her iPad to record the conversation, which lasted about nine minutes.

The recording captured Ruffin's mother saying "I don't know what you want me to say, Joey."

Patterson responded: "Don't say my name. What I'm saying is am I stupid for hanging on? Am I stupid for caring?"
After Doohen hung up again, Patterson called back 13 more times in a 19-minute span.

KELO notes that Patterson was ordered by the judge this past fall not to contact Ruffin's family members—nor have unsupervised contact with children under ten—conditions he apparently could not meet. Patterson's father has already put up $2.75 million in bonds for his son: let's hope either he's run out of money, or that this time the judge doesn't give Patterson any more opportunities to commit violence.

Actually this is the general NFL thread. OP title has been updated for current events. We've been doing this the past 5-6 years. Not just the NFL thread, but all major sports covered in this section. There's no need for a member that hasn't made a name for themselves to come into the entertainment section, and start bashing other NFL teams that's currently in the rebuilding process that members root for.

All members and new members are welcomed to post, but not like this.
