BTW the Jags are not my team. Was just using them for an example. Teams like the Dolphins shouldn't have trouble bringing in big names but even they have to overpay because they dont consistently win. Its hard to put together a winning organization when all your good players leave. |

It was funny seeing the Ravens twitter putting this out almost wording it as a "victory" for them. Last edited by Brady_2_Moss; 03-25-2015 at 10:06 PM. |

It wasn't outright cheating, but certainly pushing the rules. If it were made somewhat obvious who is eligible and ineligible when they announced that is one thing. Good rule change.

It depends on the player and the year. This year was a soft market for TE, which is why Clay got that ridiculous contract. Sometimes you have to overpay to fill a need. In fact every year teams are spending more on the high end FAs because the Cap continues to grow. I do agree that the consistently good franchises probably have an easier time luring free agents, but don't fool yourself $$$ is most players biggest concerns. I don't say that in a negative way, their window for earning is tight. One play away from never playing again, so I don't blame them in trying to get as much as they can. |

That's just moronic. There were already off the field concerns about him and teams may be leery to use a top 5 pick on him now that he's in the NFL's drug program. He's admitted to failing two drug tests in 2014 at Nebraska and was going to get kicked off the team if he failed another, but he admits he was still smoking weed during the season.

A lot of our fans have wanted Gregory... I view him as a very raw, boom or bust type player. I was never that impressed with him, to be honest, and I had a bad feeling about him. Would be a horrible pick at #2. I think he's a bust... and that was my opinion before the failed test. If you throw in the fact that he's a pothead and a potential Josh Gordon who's too stubborn to change, he may fall hard come draft day. I have no personal problem with pot though... it's just the fact that the NFL takes this shit seriously that would make me want to avoid a player like that. Now if he's sitting there at #33 when we pick, I'd take him in a heartbeat. But that's probably not likely. |

What I'd prefer: 1. Trade back 2. Winston 3. Williams The Browns have already shown their hand by trying to give a 1st for Bradford. They'd be willing to trade for Mariota... it's just a matter of the price. |

If the Bucs take Winston and this ludicrous trade rumor of Rivers coming here doesn't miraculously come to fruition, then I would just roll with Mettenberger as the starter and take a QB somewhere in rounds 2-4.
I can honestly say that there isn't a single statue/pocket QB who could've done well behind our OL. And that includes Peyton and Brady. Remember how Brady looked against KC on that Monday night game? That's what our OL looked like every game... So people can blame Mett all they want, but the fact of the matter is that as a rookie, only 9 months removed from ACL surgery, playing for the worst team, and passing behind the worst OL on the planet, he wasn't bad. Mett's biggest flaw is that he holds onto the ball too long. Will that get better? I assume it will. If not, he will suck... especially with our OL. But the dude does have an NFL arm. Our team sucks so bad that we'd be better off building around a QB before taking Mariota (who I still firmly believe is a bust in the waiting unless he ends up in the right system aka Philly). Whiz would be too stubborn and wouldn't design a good offense for him. |

I'm not believing that Rivers jank, either. Mett can certainly handle a full year |
