We had a guy like that... Collin McCarthy. Total beast MLB as a rookie. We all thought he was gonna be our franchise linebacker... Then we soon found out he was made of glass. Always a shame to see talent like that go to waste. I hate it for all teams and fans. |

Apparently we are the front runners for Damon Harrison aka "Snacks."
Harrison + Mack + M. Schwartz + Gipson + Sanu, please. Yes, I know... I'm dreaming. Can't afford all of them even if they did want to come here. Never thought I'd be wanting three Browns players though lol... I'm confident we get at least one of these guys. I have such a long wish list anyways. Just hoping we don't blow our money on bums. We're going to have to overpay some guys to get them to join this mess, but I'm excited. Gotta get some vet OL so we aren't forced to take Tunsil #1. |

Our OL's biggest need is veteran leadership. We have a bunch of guys 25 and under on the OL. No one has grabbed them by balls and told them to step the F up. That's why I want vets like Mack and Schwartz (teammates with success together). Gives us a lot more freedom in the draft. I just hate how everyone is so sold on us taking Tunsil before FA has even begun. Let's at least wait until all the FA OL have been snagged up before we slot Tunsil to us... Although after trading for Murray, signs are currently pointing to Tunsil. Also, my biggest concern with Tunsil is durability. To my knowledge, he never completed a full season in college. NFL season is much more grueling. If he couldn't do it in college, how can he be counted on for 16+ games a year? I still say Ramsey is the best player in the draft and the safest pick. Ideally we could trade back and take him in the 2-4 range, but I don't think that's realistic. |

We better not have given up more than a 6th or 7th round pick for that contract. A 4th would be stretching it, and if we gave up a 3rd I'll be furious.
I was 100% on board with Murray... if the Eagles released him. Would've preferred Lamar Miller followed by Doug Martin in FA than trading for Murray's awful contract. BUT... I do like the idea of Murray here because he won't be with a coach who constantly tries to run him outside the tackles. It was honestly embarrassing that Chip couldn't figure it out. Well, I'm sure he figured it out, but I think Chip is just another Whiz who will stick to his ways no matter what. Just so everyone knows... Murray's first carry after Chip was fired went for a 54 yard TD. I'm not getting my hopes up because it's all going to fall on our OL. But at least Jon Robinson gives two sh*ts about this franchise and is an aggressive guy unlike that joke Ruston Webster, who I will forever consider the second worst GM in the history of the league behind only Matt Millen. Try not to laugh too much... Murray could easily make Chip look dumb. I honestly can't wait to see how Chip uses Hyde. If he tries to constantly run him outside the tackles too... At the very least, Mariota and Walker will be fantasy relevant. Did you forget about them?
Season isn't even close to beginning and we're going to have a ton of new faces. Mariota entering year 2... Can't write us off from fantasy relevance. Especially not in this division. |

As much as I enjoyed some of the offseason spending/free agents we brought in last year and will miss some of the talent we groomed in-house, I'm glad the NYJ are standing pat and aren't reaching for some of these ridiculous contracts. I mean, as of right now we don't have the cap space to really do so anyway but still.

Free agency is a fun time and everyone always gets excited about the prospect of their team grabbing superstars. Big free agent splashes very rarely translate to immediate success on the field. Most teams that are in the top 10 consistently don't go after the big names. Leave that to the small teams with tons of cap space who are buying the names to fill the seats. There are reasons why the same teams are consistently bad.
