With the 4-3 he could be scary good.
2007-2008 Hayensworth was JJ Watt level dominant. He was considered a candidate for MVP in 08... It was very short lived and all for a big contract, but that type of domination is hard to attain. Stats don't tell the whole story.

Like I said, I like Cox. No pun intended... but I don't see 07-08 Fat Al happening. But he is a better overall player because he isn't going to be a short term dominant player. He'll be around for a while.

I agree stats don't tell the entire story, but they are fact. Everything else is opinion. So we shall see.

This signing pretty much closed the door on the NYJ retaining Mo Wilkerson (not like it was looking good anyway, but still).

Von Miller is going to use this contract against Denver as well.

I know they have very little wiggle room, but I can't see the Jets letting Wilkerson go. Not sure of the contract numbers, but maybe look to get Reavis off the books to free up some much needed cap space?

It was a record setting contract, but that's just today's NFL unfortunately. In a year, or two, someone will break the bank again and raise the bar again.

I can...Wilk doesn't really fit Bowles's system as well as Sheldon Richardson does and provided he can keep his nose clean, Shel is in for a HUGE windfall next season so we can lock him up long term.

All I'm saying is that Cox has yet to have the impact Haynesworth had in 07 and 08. That man literally carried our team to the playoffs. He made Michael Griffin and Nick Harper look good.

Outside of Watt, there hasn't been a single defender who's been as dominant as Haynesworth was in 07 and 08.

But like I said... Cox will have the better career. Haynesworth just wanted to get paid.

Yes, as it's your opinion.
In my opinion the guy is much better than Haynesworth was at this point in his career. We shall see if that trend continues.
In short, you like your guy I like mine. That won't ever change.

I don't even try to start these "arguments" with you, but you make it impossible.

07-08 Haynesworth being better than Cox has been at any point is actually a fact, not an opinion.

And Haynesworth is dead to me. I don't even like him. But facts are facts, and when Fletcher Cox carries a pathetic offense to the playoffs and is a candidate for league MVP, he'll be as dominant as 07-08 Haynesworth.

Basically if you think Cox has been better than 07-08 Fat Albert, you're also suggesting that he's better than Watt too... And nobody is buying that.

How many years has Cox played? I will help you, 4.
How many years had Haynesworth played before this all-Universe year(in your opinion)? Answer more than 4.

Again you are 100% clueless when it comes to opinion vs fact.
Fact: To this point in BOTH their careers Cox has posted better numbers.
Opinion: Haynesworth turned in one of the most dominate performances by a DT ever in(insert season here).

My goodness man, learn to comprehend! I'm not bashing one player over another just stating one(Cox) has better stats. Which, unfortunately for you is the way dominance is accurately measured.

Please, if my posts cause you so much grief, do us both a favor and don't respond!

Nah... You needed to clarify better if you meant that 4 year Cox was better than 4 year Haynesworth.

Your response only suggested that at this point in Cox's career he was better than Haynesworth. You didn't specify at this time in both their careers. Had you, I wouldn't have argued with it because 4 year Cox is better than 4 year Haynesworth.

And it's certainly not an opinion that Haynesworth turned in one of the most dominant performances by a DT. It's a well documented fact. Nobody is responding to us because they know you're impossible to argue with and even when you've been proven wrong, you keep going. But everyone who actively kept up with the NFL back in 07-08 knows what I say about Fat Albert is true. Why you think it's an opinion I'll never know. I suppose maybe you didn't start watching NFL until 2009? Lol that would make sense then.

Nope! You need to brush up on comprehension. Go back a read from the beginning.
Either way this has run its course. Looking forward to seeing many years of Fletch wrecking havoc in the backfield.
