A shakeup was needed, but firing Greg Roman just feels like a panic move. Anthony Lynn is very well respected in the NFL community, but promoting him at this stage doesn't feel quite fair.

Yup and let's keep this rolling into KC next week.

People think I am nuts but I think Fitz is a great QB.

Then all of those teams are nuts.

Wow, I didn't realize this happened. Only year 2 and Rex is already running the ship aground.

Yessir and it helps to have a mini-bye to work with to shore up the secondary and get some guys healthy.

Yep, you're nuts alright! For me the jury is still out as I'm still a bit bitter from him pissing down his leg in Week 17 of last year when faced with these same Bills on the precipice of our first playoff berth in 5 years.

I'm trying to figure out who made the call, I'm not sure if it was Rex or not. The Pegula's are not pleased and rather embarrassed from what I have gathered. They feel there is too much talent in house for the product on the field. I couldn't agree more.

You guys won by 6 last night, but the game didn't feel that close. At all.

Edit - Sounds like it was a mutual decision between Rex and ownership to fire Roman.

I was 13 the last (& only) time the Falcons made the Super Bowl. Also like 16 the last time the Braves won a playoff series.

Ivory out as I expected, but I don't think they have disclosed his medical issue from last Sunday.
I'll miss the end of the Falcons game due to a concert. But should be able to hear it on satellite.

I don't get why though, the offense wasn't the problem, it was REX'S defense that was the problem!

Maybe not for you, but I legit wasn't comfortable until I saw quadruple zeroes...I've been a NYJ fan FAR too long to celebrate even a millisecond too early!

I don't disagree with you. But someone had to be the fall guy, and let's be honest here, it wasn't going to be the Ryan brothers at this point. Earlier today I thought no way Rex would be fired midseason, but from what is being leaked out the Pegula's want this fixed quickly. If we start 0-4, Rex's job will be in severe jeopardy.

Easy for me to say, but I've been there first hand and Rex has that kind of effect on people/an organization. His words and bravado fall flat when the results aren't there to back it up. He was the shot in the arm we needed when he arrived to get us over the hump and take that next step and we did for two straight years, but once that 8-8 season happened, it fell apart so fast it made one's head spin.

I must admit I am pretty antisocial today. Not at all how I felt the season would go after we played so well down the stretch to end last year. At this point it just feels Rex is surrounding himself with his boys, basically saying if I'm going down, I'm going down my way. I'm a mix of dropping to my knees to cry and grabbing a pitchfork to storm One Bills Drive. Rex needs to fix this. Now.

Maybe this is just what he needs.. someone needs to light that fire for him. Buffalo needs to win, and win big, in Week 3.

Not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all.

I understand completely, man...I've been there and it's the worst feeling. He's always been defiant and never wanted to change so part of me was hoping that in the aftermath of the debacle that happened in NY, he'd see the error of his ways. Nope, not at all. Only thing is that maybe he toned down the rhetoric just a tad from his NYJ days.

It is very much a rash decision. Bills already hit the panic button at 0-2.

Kaepernick looked good with Roman and Taylor has looked good overall. I think this is a really stupid move. Roman is just the scapegoat. I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor regresses now.

Rex is honestly just another Jeff Fisher IMO. All his success is in the past. Show me the results right now. They aren't there. Yet I feel like Rex will still keep bouncing around the league and keep a job forever just like Fisher.

Rex would've been a much better fit in ATL.

Rex is the only bum that would hire Rob. The guy has been a terrible DC for years now.

Yesterday was classic Rob Ryan. If it doesn't work, stick with it for the whole game and make no adjustments.

Rob isn't the defensive coordinator. By and large, Rex is making a lot of the defensive calls.
