I got off the FFB bandwagon 3 years ago and it's the best thing I ever did. Now I just participate in a weekly pick 'em league based on confidence points and it's a blast. 57 people, $100 buy-in, $100 weekly winner and 1st through 3rd prizes at the end of the season. Good times!

EDIT:

I had the lowest points scored in week 1 and the most in week 2, somehow I went from 10th to 2nd after just 1 week. So many mixed emotions.

You ever see a NE fan after a loss? They're jumping off bridges because of their expectations. That fan base has gotten so obnoxious it's ridiculous. Ask 90% of NE fans who Steve Grogan or Tony Eason is and you get a blank stare. The fans that do are about the only NE fans I respect and it has absolutely nothing to do with being a NYJ fan.
I lived in Connecticut during the early to mid 90's coming from Jacksonville during the Bledsoe days. All they aired were either Giants, or Patriots games. I remember more Dallas Cowboy fans than Patriot fans because that was when Dallas was winning. From what I remember living up north, the Patriots brand was pretty much invisible until you go up north to MA and into RI. These were during my early teens but I do remember how the Patriots weren't even popular around the Connecticut area.

One guy that I grew up with in middle school back then was a Falcons fan and is now a Patriots fan.

Those are the worst people. Anyone who changes teams without good reasoning sucks.

I "grew up" in Nashville as a Cowboys fan because my dad was from Texas and that was always their team. I was only 9 years old when the Oilers came to town here in 98, so that quickly became my team and always will be. Sucks that I was so young during our glory years, but I still remember them.

So far, so good. I'm not holding out much hope against Pittsubrgh. They are just awesome this year. As long as it's a good, close, game I'd be quite happy...also no injuries!!

Yeah he's playing at a pretty high level right now. But the big test will be Pitt this week. Then after the bye we should know if Lane Johnson will either win, or lose, his appeal. I don't see him winning an appeal which is really going to hurt the OL which is razor thin on depth to begin with.

This was back in middle school so I guess I can understand jumping from one team to another when you are a teen going into an adult.

Before the Jags existed, I rooted for the Skins during their Super Bowl run, and when they were losing I moved on as a 49ers fan. Keep in mind this was from 5th grade going into early high school. When the Jaguars arrived, I was a 49ers fan first, Jaguars 2nd, and that all finally merged into being a Jaguars fan around 1997-1998. I lived in Jacksonville most of my life, but living up north for those 3 years, the Patriots were nonexistent from my experience and I do remember how everyone would criticize and bash Bledsoe.

I don't hate the Patriots, and the people that I know personally here who root and follow New England are pretty cool. Down here, it's the college football fans you need to watch out here. Those people anger me!

Also, whenever the Jaguars start winning again, I will be all over those people who bashed the team for the last decade wanting to jump on the home team.

I wish I had the foresight of changing my team as a kid cuz I had no idea what a life of football misery I'd be in for being a NYJ fan all these years! In addition, the funny part about it is that my family and I have NO clue why I chose the NYJ...maybe it was their color/uniforms, maybe it was the fact that they were always on TV when I was growing up in NY, maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment, but it certainly wasn't cuz they were a winning team cuz they have always sucked!

I grew up in Toledo....just an hour south of Detroit. Everyone in my family has always liked a different team.

Mom: Pittsburgh
Dad: Chicago
Bro 1: Minnesota
Bro 2: Cleveland
Bro 3: Dallas
Sis: GB/Carolina/don't care anymore

And that's how the entire area of Toledo is, given that Detroit has always sucked. It's a big mash up of all the teams above, plus some Indy and Cincy.

Now college on the other hand..... take your pick of OSU, ND, MSU, or Michigan..

And as horrible Detroit has been, I have liked them since I was 3. Don't know what caused me to like them, but here I am... and as much as I'd like to change, it won't happen unless they change cities or name.

My wife and her family are all Cleveland fans, so they despite Pittsburgh.

I despise Green Bay.

We agreed our kids can like any team they want other than those two

That's admirable. We have some friends from Michigan and they are die hard DET, MSU and UM fans.

It's only week 2, so I'm not even worried about the Seahawks. Every team in the NFC West is 1-1, so there you go. The Seahawks' problem right now is the offensive line. Russell is running for his life right now, rather than racking up his trademark rushing yards; that's the difference. When Russell can run for yards rather than his life, the Seahawks are dangerous. The Seahawks were railroaded by the Saints with that Graham-for-Unger trade.

Even then, the Saints are railroading themselves at the moment. It's looking like another 7-9 season. I guess Rob Ryan wasn't the problem, after all!

I'm 2-0 in my fantasy league.

so it took us getting burned for 1000+ yards to finally let our 1st Round Safety play? Karl Joseph is in the lineup for Week 3. I know every position requires learning and this and that but they should've thrown him in there from the start. He's not a QB. He can't do any worse than what we've seen.

Our offense putting up 30 pts a game won't be good enough to get us to .500 this year.

I'm married to an Eagles fan.

Hopefully my daughters will have some of my rabid Buffalo Bills DNA in them.

Shoot good luck with that. Carson Wentz making a lot of Eagles fans believers. Eagles rally lucked out with getting a first for Bradford.
