There is no evidence that he "opened fire in a crowded area" (he was never connected to the nightclub shooting that occurred that night)....if so, police would have arrested him. Basically, if the NFL tries to suspend him, he'll appeal and since there's no evidence beyond an accidental shooting with no witnesses, no charges files, etc, he'll win the appeal without even trying.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Denver Broncos cornerback, Aqib Talib is not expected to receive any discipline from the NFL for his off the field issue this past summer.

Rapoport does caution that punishment could still come down if the Dallas Police Department discovers new evidence that puts Talib at fault, but right now it appears Talib will avoid any punishment.

Since there is no "new evidence" I'd say a suspension is highly unlikely.

Accidents happen all the time. Not sure where you are located but in our part of the country guns are not the bogeyman. He wasn't trying to inflict damage or hurt another individual. Simple accident. He's already paid a price because he shot himself.

The NFL's CBA gives Goodell the power to suspend players for virtually anything, and the appeals courts have agreed that the CBA gives him that power. If Goodell wants to suspend Talib for conduct detrimental to the league or for violating the personal conduct policy then Talib can appeal, but the appeal will be heard by Goodell. Ben Roethlisberger was never arrested or charged with a crime, but he was suspended for 6 games (later reduced to 4). With Talib's suspension and arrest history it wouldn't be a surprise if Goodell chooses to suspend Talib.

Collins to IR. So glad we have a starting caliber guard as a backup. Poor oline depth has derailed so many seasons.

Kind of early but it looks like the league might consider moving the Titans/Dolphins game to Tennessee due to Hurricane Matthew.

Oakland has the Chargers, Chiefs, Jags, and Bucs for the rest of our October games. Those are all very winnable games. I can't imagine being 7-1 or 6-2 to start November. I was in college the last time we were a scary team. We've been the west coast Browns for so long

Mark Davis was very smart to give Reggie McKenzie time to rebuild the team. A lot of owners would have fired McKenzie after his third season when the team was 11-37 during his tenure, but the Raiders were pretty much guaranteed to have a bad stretch due to the poor drafting and terrible contracts that Al Davis had given out.

Just glad Del Rio is getting it done over there. I kinda miss him, and I kinda don't. Hopefully he doesn't screw your player personal like he did with Jacksonville. Oakland is pretty young so I don't think that would happen anytime soon. He's a great players coach for sure, it's just his decision making that becomes questionable.

If the Raiders didn't convert that 2-point conversion back in Week 1, I think everyone would have chopped his head off.

). So a third violation with the current atmosphere and goodell looking to make an example. 10 games is a huge possibility.

Plus he's been arrested twice before. I'm pretty sure it's a slam dunk for a 10 game decision.
