Cleveland is pushing really hard to match Lion's 2008 record of 0-16

That is really bad news. Hunter sucks. If he's your #4 or #5 he can come in handy at times. Other than that, he's pretty awful. And it's a shame because he showed flashes as a rookie and was expected to have a big year thereafter. Nope. Fell flat on his face.

With the trade deadline quickly approaching, I'm kind of curious if the annual Joe Thomas trade rumors will actually happen this year. Yet again, Cleveland is a mess and in 100% rebuilding mode(the 20 year plan) and there are some contending teams in need of OL help. Wouldn't make much sense for Cleveland to absorb all that salary, of course that's been the norm with them and Thomas so who knows.
Also Stanley from SF might be another trade candidate for a rebuilding team.

Dolphins RB Arian Foster is retiring from the NFL at the age of 30.

Thank goodness for Cowboys-Iggles, expecting it to be the highest rated NFL game this season.

Thomas go from one perennial doormat to another? Highly doubtful.
My guess IF he opts to jump ship, he will head to New England or Seattle. I would mention Minnesota but they don't have first round pick to trade due to the Sam Bradford trade, and I'm guessing that's what it's going to take.

I hope the Cowboys stomp the Iggles and solidify their position as the #1 team in the NFL's best division!

I don't think it will be that big unless the World Series ends in a sweep and it's over Saturday night. With the Cubs in the World Series it should have the best ratings since 2004 (Red Sox first title since 1918), and that will put a major dent in the SNF ratings.

The writer of this story clearly doesn't watch the NFL or is just trying to push a false narrative about players retiring young:

Quote:
Arian Foster, a four-time Pro Bowler, became the latest football star to leave the sport because of injuries while still near the top of his game.
Later in the story:

Quote:
Jake Locker, Marshawn Lynch, Jerod Mayo, Patrick Willis and Jason Worilds are among those who have recently retired while in their prime.
Worilds is the only one of those players that was still in his prime, and he left football for religious reasons. Locker never had a prime and was likely a career backup moving forward, and Mayo was going to get released by the Patriots. Marshawn Lynch would have been cut in Seattle for salary cap reasons if he had continued, but he definitely could have kept his career going, and Willis was coming off an injury and wanted to move on to work in Silicon Valley.

Philly rumored to be in talks with SF about a Torrey Smith trade.
Also Jason La Canfora mentions Alshon Jeffery as a possible Philly trade target.
While both would be instant upgrades, I just wish Philly would give Paul Turner, currently on the practice squad, a try. The guy was making ODB-like catches all training camp and preseason. Plus he's young and cheap!

Ugly game last night. If the playoffs started today those same Houston Texans would be in (and we'd be the #2 seed which is probably even more hilarious).

The joys of playing in the AFCS, but yeah the AFC is somewhat watered down this season.
