Dak is the starter for the playoffs. Nothing that happens in the last (and meaningless) game is going to change that. The backups need some game reps so they're not completely cold if called upon and that includes Tony Romo.

I know that. They know that. But if Romo completes 70% of his passes and 3 touchdowns don't you think the questions are going to become a distraction again? If Dak starts slow or looks bad in the first game even if they win they will have to hear about how good Romo looks. They don't need or want that distraction. There is no need for it.

If Dak is bad you're gonna hear Romo talk regardless.

If Bradford can fetch a 1st and a 3rd, Romo should have no trouble fetching at least a second.

Bro, how long has Romo been around? Not to mention MIN was trying desperately to save their season after Bridgewater went down that they WAY over paid for that assclown. You're reaching...no way he fetches a second.

If his contract wasn't so big he would have had a chance at a second round pick. Teams know Dallas doesn't want to spend 25 million a year on a back up.

Oh they takin a hit regardless, just depends on how much Jerry can boost Tony's stock. I hear Oakland is in need of an experienced QB though & they do have a lot of extra moniez.

With the lack of leverage Dallas has, I think getting a 2nd will be very challenging.

Can we place Batman1980 in timeout for a bit? It seems he's drunk on the Cowboy juice.

I'm foresee Romo doing a sign and trade to facilitate his exit from Dallas.

Coughlin interviewed for the Jags position yesterday and really I'm hoping they can work a deal out. Otherwise, I see Coughlin going to Buffalo.

Has there ever been a head coach being fired, and then coming back to the same franchise to coach them again? I don't recall that ever happening before.

He can turn the team around (hopefully) in 1-2 years in a bad AFC South Division vs. going to Buffalo with the best rushing attack, BUT you have to face Tom Brady twice a year. Either team who hires him, he fits in well. Must be a hard decision for Tom. He has ties both in New York, and the NE Florida region.

EDIT: I remember Joe Gibbs leaving Washington, and then coming back to coach them again about a decade or so ago.

Oh yeah, Art Shell! Forgot that he came back to coach the Raiders.

So the only coaches I know to return to coach the same franchise were Joe Gibbs and Art Shell.

I think Coughlin will listen to both pitches and go from there. Even at his age, he is a very in demand coach.

Always liked Tom as a coach and wish Detroit had gone after him. Oh well. Don't care where he goes, just want to see him coach again.
