For some odd reason I decided to torture myself and watch the '04 SB on NFL Network. Had to chuckle when New England went up by 10 they flashed the stat that no team had ever come back, to win, when trailing by more than 9pts.

Now that I think about it have the Patriots ever drafted a WR or RB in the first two rounds or so during the Brady era? Seems like they always stock up on their line via the draft and manage to get bargain quality receivers and RB's via free agency/signings. Seems like they never have to use high draft picks for skill positions.

That's the best way to build your team. How often do teams with high talent or high dollar receivers win the Super Bowl? With a good enough QB and running game you can "get by" with average or less talent at WR.

Brady has faced shit teams. Look at the powerhouse teams the 49ers lost to in the 80s early 90s. The league is different as well. Teams are more watered down.

Steelers (11-5)
Raiders (12-4)
Chiefs (12-4)

They were all pretty solid.

its funny how he likes to diminish Pats championships, if its not because of something "gate" related it is because everybody else sucks.

Well tbh the salary cap era franchises just haven't been as good as they were in the mid-90s and before. That doesn't take away what the Patriots have done at all, since it's now harder to sustain success than it was before the cap and free agency.

Steelers were mediocre. Chiefs the same. Raiders had no QB.

They shouldn't have even won a championship. It is still baffling how badly the Falcons blew it.

I'll forever blame Jake Matthews for that game. His hold did nothing but move us out of FG range.

You had the ball how many times in the second half on their side of the field with a huge lead and got 0 points? Kyle Shanahan had a terrible second half game plan and it cost your team a championship.
