If he's very cheap and it is not a hindrance to long term plans, then it's better than what is currently on the roster.

It sounds like the Jets are the only team that has interest in Cutler and if they can't reach a deal Cutler could retire.

The trouble with this is we remember how he left us the first time. I'd rather have Smith back ten times before Peppers. At this point in his career how much does he have to offer especially after playing LB for the past few years.

The trouble with this is we remember how he left us the first time. Even though he was a great athlete he never fully committed on the field. I'd rather have Smith back ten times before Peppers. At this point in his career how much does he have to offer especially after playing LB for the past few years.

I think he will play this season and walk. I'm guessing Washington dorked this up so badly they won't get anything for him.
Of course, this is the NFL and anything can/will happen.
