Indeed you are. Sorry need to see more from him. He landed in the perfect situation to succeed last season, but after a lot of turnover and much tougher schedule this season and game film for opposing D's, let's see what he does.

Sub-60% pass completions, more than 1 interception/game average, and 21st amongst active QBs(1500+ passes) in QB rating.

In fact I would rate him as the worst QB in the NFC East, not best. I'd pick Cousins, Wentz, or Dak over him without much hesitation. EDIT:Admittedly part of why I would do so is age, as durable as Eli has been he's getting up there.

Never missed a game. 2 rings...BOTH against one of the greatest dynasties in all of sports BTW. Eli might not be flashy but he always gives his teams a chance which is what you want from a QB. He will be in the HoF.
Definitely the best QB in the division. Wentz/Dak are still largely unproven, and Cousins has a woeful record against teams with a winning record.

He's better than they deserve anyway, and I say this as an Eagles fan whose team has consistently lost to him for the past couple of years. He's never gonna set the world on fire but he can be a solid, reliable Flacco-type quarterback. Said it all the way back when he was filling in for RG-Knee and no one wanted to admit that their star Rookie of the Year was a one-season wonder. Skins are always gonna be a joke as long as Snyder's calling the shots lol

If I were Cousins I would have serious reservations about signing a longterm deal with Washington.

For some reason he played well for 8 games, and people have extrapolated that to considering him a great QB. He's not, and never has been.

It's not even hard to make the argument Eli got carried to those championships considering the number of plays his receivers made on balls they had no business catching, and the fact that those defenses played insane football in those 2 post-season runs. Like, the defenses got better by more than Eli did, in both of those runs.

The very fact that people actually know who David Tyree is should tell you something. I can't even name an individual contributor that mediocre in any of Brady's wins.

I get it, it's _really_ hard to look past "Rings = QB" for most people, but if you dig even a little Eli has never been anything more than an above average Gunslinger type (way more of a Gunslinger than Romo ever was).

I agree Eli will be in the hall though, because voters are extremely shallow and winning 2 rings in New York will guarantee it regardless of actual worth.

The longevity of a good not great career plus 2 rings means he will get in. Not first ballot.

Come on now. Any QB in the HoF will tell you, at least, a dozen times their receivers bailed them out. It's a team sport. Also I never said Eli was great just that he beat one of the greatest, if not THE greatest dynasty to play the NFL...twice. Not to mention the iron man streak which is pretty amazing in/of itself. Either way, it's all opinion, and mine is as if this post Eli is the best in the division solely based on accomplishments. I would even say he's got he upside, for at least this season, based on his supporting cast.

I have never liked him due to him whining and crying from being drafted by San Diego - and he's an average QB that's been given decent support over the years. I do think that right [now] he is the best QB in his division, as the others are younger and time will tell soon. Cousins could make a case but doesn't have the achievements that Eli can list. In regards to fantasy football, I've never had Eli on my team, but I would not mind getting him this year since has supporting case has gotten much better.
