I'd expect the Jags to cut him pretty quickly. No way he's worth almost $9 million when he's injury-prone and clearly doesn't want to play for them. Most likely this is just a ploy to get out of having to repay the $3.4 million and potentially allows him to go somewhere that will give him some guaranteed money (which is what he tried to get during his offseason holdout).

Turns out this was fake news...they pulled him from that one drill, not the entire practice. Typical click bait from sports media outlets.

People might take Spike Lee's rally more seriously if he had taken the time to proofread before posting with Kaep's name spelled wrong:

Also why make a flyer for a Kaep rally and have some other dude kneeling right next to him... what about a rally for that guy? lol

Well he'd probably have gotten a call from Miami if not for his Castro support.

Over/under on how many people show up at the rally, 14.5? Maybe Spike can find a token white guy to show up at the rally. There's always one in his films.

Would you want to sign Kaep to be your backup QB if you'll get hounded endlessly about when he'll eventually start? Even if you had Russell Wilson or Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers, there would be people demanding that he plays for reasons other than football, sort of like with Tebow.

A big stink is made about the Seahawks signing Austin Davis instead of Kaep. Well chances are that when the preseason ends, Davis will get cut and they'll stick with Boykin. Cutting Davis to keep Boykin, no big deal. Cutting Kaep to keep Boykin, you'll get outrage from people looking for an excuse to be outraged.

Same thing with the Ravens. They sign some nobody to be a placeholder until Flacco returns and then he'll get cut. Obviously that's not something you'd sign Kaep for, but the outrage culture doesn't see it that way.

The Dolphins could go 16-0 and Cutler could throw five touchdowns to win the Super Bowl, and some Huffington Post or SB Nation hack would write an article saying that the Dolphins missed a chance for something greater by not signing Kaep instead.

You gotta have a strong coach to handle this situation. Only a few in the nfl Bill, Tomlin, Arians and Payton. I could be missing someone but those guys could handle this situation but I don't think they want to.

Susie Adams Smith has put her 33 percent of the Titans up for sale.
It threatens to exacerbate the Titans' ownership issues. The team has been owned in three equal 33 percent shares since former owner Bud Adams' death in 2013. The league has insisted on a controlling owner, something Adams' heirs have been unable to figure out. Adams' daughter Amy Adams Strunk is the current figurehead. Susie's sale could have 33 percent of the team owned by an outsider.

What about Andy Reid?
I know the situations are different, but he rolled the dice on Mike Vick, weathered the initial storm and the major fuss died down fairly quickly.
Not sure if that would be the same with Spike's new boy "Kapernick" though.

But why? You have Alex Smith and their new boy Patrick Mahomes. I would never consider "Kapernick" on the team.

I'm not saying KC needs Kap, just that I think if they did Reid wouldn't hesitate t roll the dice and have as good a chance as any HC of making it work.
Say what you want about Reid's clock skills, but the guy really gets the most out of his QBs.
