Hard to celebrate when you know you're probably done even if you win out. All 9-7 will really get us is a middle draft pick in each round.

I don't think many people did. I'd actually settle for back to back winning seasons as a small sign of progress for Jason. Don't think he's ever done that before. This team is too flawed to win in the play-offs anyway so it might be a good thing they're not getting in.

Just saw/read the recap and they were a disaster from the start. My groupchat with friends from DC was blowing up all night. Can't turn the ball over that many times and expect to stay close, let alone win. Kirk shrinks in primetime, too. Crowder was apparently a disaster. The coaching staff never comes through in big moments. As usual, the Skins have a shot (however tenuous) to actually make the playoffs and they choke hard. And I'm not relishing this; I wanted them to win last night. The "NFL Offseason Kirk Cousins Sweepstakes" isn't gonna be that big of a deal if he has another game or two like this.

Jay Gruden is a horrible play-caller, he may actually be worse than Scott Linehan. Also I know they were down Thompson but they still should've tried to run the ball more once it was clear the Cowboys were using Cousins as a tackling dummy.

Those early turnovers and down 17-0? They had to go to the air. Cousins is a perfectly competent/above-average QB but he's not a guy to lead you to victory in a situation like that, barring that one notable "You like that?!" example.

17-7 at the half and they got the ball first. Yes you have to go pass-happy but if you do it too much you just get your QB smacked around. Can't put the cart ahead of the horse. I think Cousins is right at that border-line between good and very good but I also wouldn't sign him to a lucrative contract. Not sure why Cowboys fans want him over Prescott. We have so many other needs on the team right now, we can't afford to take on a $20+ million a year QB contract. Take advantage of that 4th round rookie deal while you can and try to fix the defense and the receiving corp.

No doubt the Skins should've run more, but the idea of relying more heavily on the pass at that point wasn't entirely unfounded. Overall they need to be better balanced, and they need receivers who actually hold onto the ball and are capable of making plays.

Cowboys fans are overreacting and taking it out on Dak. Philly fans do it to our own guys all the time whenever things go downhill, it's normal. Dak's gonna be fine, almost any QB will struggle when their MVP-caliber RB is out for six games.

Shouldn't have let Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson walk. I do think Doctson and Crowder are decent, they just drop passes at times. Dez does it too and people thought he was a top 5 WR for years. Doesn't fit Dak's playstyle though so probably time to cut bait and find a new #1.
