How long has the league been around? Thank you.
Again, I pose the question: if the league decides to rename the trophy...again...does everyone reset to zero Championships?
By your logic I guess so.

By MY logic (no idea what Tony208 thinks) a trophy you win for winning at least 2 play-off games and the Super Bowl means more than a trophy you get simply for having the best record in the league. Plus I believe back then there were a lot less than 32 teams.

Exactly. With less teams the talent isn’t as spread out. Much more difficult to win.
League isn’t celebrating anniversary’s older than 52 years, just sayin’.

Seems the NFL already knows who's going to the SB.

Or it was easier to win because the talent was so poor back then. Doubt even Eagles fans know who they beat to win those championships that don't matter anymore.

This Philly fan does.
It’s in the books. Despite what the haters want to believe.

Saw that. Hey, it all feeds the Philly underdog storyline going on.
Funny thing though, Minnesota was a Hail Mary play away from not even making the social media page.
Whereas Philly successfully defended Julio Jones from the 2yd line.

The link was for your benefit.
It was right next to The Last Time Dallas won a Championship with a Non Jimmy built team in the Salary Cap Era.

May have to root for the Vikings to beat the Eagles.

Shocker!
Most everyone is pulling for Minnesota. Loving the underdog status.

Just happy to be here. Nobody, and I mean nobody, had Philly with a winning record this year, let alone hosting the NFC Championship game as the #1 seed.
Assuming Wentz recovers, then the future appears to be quite good.

Im pulling for Minnesota but just to see a team play the Super Bowl in their own stadium. Once they get there they can lose 46-3 for all i care

So concerning the schedule next season, and this question might get answered tomorrow, will the Philly @ Jax @ London Game be opening week? Does the league usually run Championship rematches week 1, assuming the two teams are scheduled the following season?
As a Philly fan I wouldn’t know as it’s been 13 years.

The only times the league has opened the season with a Super Bowl rematch was 1970 and 2016. For one thing most years there won't be a Super Bowl rematch because you only play 1 division in the other conference so there's only a 1 in 4 chance of the rematch happening, although next year it's possible with the Philly-Jax game you mentioned or Minnesota at New England. Carolina complained a lot in 2016 about having that as the opener, with Ron Rivera saying they deserved to open the season at home after winning the NFC and didn't want to focus on Denver after spending months trying to forget the Super Bowl. The NFL seemed to take Carolina's complaints into consideration this season when they didn't schedule Atlanta at New England as the opener.

I forgot about the NFC North playing the AFC East! I didn’t think it had happened often, but do remember the Carolina/Denver game a few years ago, which prompted my question.
The League is probably just waiting for tomorrow’s games to play out, then will get the marketing department going on it. The fact that a previously announced London game, possibly, enters the equation is interesting.

Early word is Wentz is way ahead of schedule on his ACL recovery. Can only hope nothing goes wrong.

With that news, just and amazing highlight reel:
