I kind of agree with the NFL on this one. What’s next, posting your entire resume on the back of a jersey?
As if the I, II, III, Jr, Sr, etc etc aren’t enough, so we really need professions as well?

Why dees everyone, all of a sudden, want to use the NFL...the lace of their employment...as a billboard?
It’s work. It’s your job. Do all the advertising to your hearts desire on your own time. Just like the rest of the working world.

Jameis Winston's 3-game suspension was officially announced by the NFL today. Winston released the following statement:

“The NFL informed me today that I will be suspended for the first three games of the season.

First and foremost, I would like to say I’m sorry to the Uber driver for the position I put you in. It is uncharacteristic of me and I genuinely apologize. In the past 2 1/2 years my life has been filled with experiences, opportunities and events that have helped me grow, mature and learn, including the fact that I have eliminated alcohol from my life.

I know I have to hold myself to a higher standard on and off the field and that I have a responsibility to my family, community, and teammates to live above the platform with which God has blessed me. I apologize to my teammates, the Buccaneers organization and fans for letting them down and for not being able to be out there for the first three games of the season. Although I am disappointed in the NFL’s decision, I understand the NFL’s process, and I embrace this as an opportunity to take advantage of the resources available to help me achieve the goals that I have for myself.

I now look forward to putting this behind me and I will continue to work hard every day to be a positive influence in my community and be the best person, teammate and leader I can be.”

A special pre-4th of July edition of the afternoon news dump by the NFL, with 2 game suspensions being announced for 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster and Rams offensive lineman Jamon Brown for violating the league's conduct and substances of abuse policies.

Edit: Add Packers running back Aaron Jones to the 2 game suspension list.

It sucks to lose Foster for any amount of games, but considering the initial reports, it could have been much worse.

I just hope he is able to learn from this and move on. The 49ers need Foster on the field, he has a bright future.

He can also turn out to be another Aldon Smith. I'm with you and hope he learns from this too.

My biggest fear is that he turns out like Aldon, but I think we have the right coaching staff to hopefully prevent that from happening. But only time will tell.

Foster is a very promising player, but you always have to worry what he is up to off the field.

I will never understand how billionaire team owners have convinced the public that the players, who put their bodies on the line every week and make less than 50% of league revenue, are the “ungrateful” ones.

Lakers above Yankees is debatable and frankly I'm not sure the Dubs should be there at all. Maybe the Red Sox or any number of college teams instead.
