I think you’re right on here. We’re going to see changes for sure.

Im all for it. I dont like either team. I just want to see it.

Credit to NOLA. They’re planning a massive street parade to protest the NFL rather than a massive riot.

NOLA did get screwed, but they also did Bountygate.. so I don't care that much to see them in particular get helped.

Question

If you're the NY Giants, do you draft a QB at #6 overall.. OR do you take one of the many defensive players, and draft Trace McSorley in a later round, which reunites him with Saquon Barkley? Either way, there's a good chance whichever QB they draft will sit behind Eli for the year.

I'd try to land a QB but really the only one worth a #6 pick is Haskins, and I don't think he'll still be on the board. I'm guessing some other team (Jaguars in particular) or the Giants would have to trade up. It's a weak QB class.

Yeah for the Giants, I'd go BPA and then get Nick Foles as a stopgap. Teddy Bridgewater would be my second choice for them.

If they're going with Eli for another year anyway, just wait til 2020 to draft a QB. If they do better than this year, probably will have to trade up but if they get their next franchise QB, it'll be worth it.

If a team that doesn't need a QB lands the top pick in 2021 they're getting a king's ransom for that pick. Trevor Lawrence would attract even more than what the Rams got for trading their #2 pick to the Rams in 2012.

Doesn’t matter. QB’s will still be drafted high, it’s the NFL draft. Daniel Jones and Drew Lock could very well find themselves as top 10 picks.

Lol. Take the L, Payton, you sour puss. Brees choked. Not so easy to win a title game without bounties and officials is it Sean.

I trade up to #3 with the Jets.

Here's a great Wetzel piece about all the panties being bunched up:

"Whining..."

I couldn't agree more with this article. It's one thing to b*tch and moan about a bad call and what you perceive to be a game-deciding play (trust me, it wasn't what decided the game), it's another to threaten lawsuits and Goodell intervention.

This is the sports world taking on the recent victim culture, which has infected, unfortunately, other areas of life FAR more important than professional sporting entertainment.

I wasn't even aware of this though (from the article posted):

Ford, however, was lined up across the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped. New England went on to win.

Reid acknowledge that, yes, it was a penalty.

“I thought it was legitimate,” Reid said, noting the Chiefs’ own cameras also caught the infraction.

That should have been it.

Only Reid didn’t stop there because this is 2019 and this is the NFL – the No Fair League. Everything and anything is worthy of whines and cries and legal briefings about the officials, the rules, overtime setups and any other transgression real or imagined.

The entire damn league has gone so snowflake that even Andy Reid decided to join them.

“Normally you’re warned,” Reid said. “And the coaches are warned if someone is doing that before they throw [a flag] in a game of that magnitude.”

Jesus Christ, Andy, should the refs have adjusted Ford's cup too?!

Yep Ford was offsides. How about the other plays? Roughing the passer penalty on the Chiefs when it was clear he grazed his shoulder, with the ref saying between plays, "Don't worry Tom, I got your back" (Lip reading is great with hi-def). Then the no-catch, catch, no-catch, catch. Ball clearly hit the ground, but not called. Lastly the replay review of the ball hitting the pats player or not? Refs said it did. They needed overwhelming evidence to overturn that call & there was no camera angle doing that. Well that doesn't matter, it's the pats so lets just go with them. Karma is heavy in the SB. First the heavily favored Rams lost to the young pats team in 00-01. All these years later, it's reversed. Let's have it done & over with. The whole world (minus New England, which I'm unlucky enough to have been born & brought up in) is sick of the pats. If what I think is happening is going to happen, the Rams will win a miracle nailbiter & the pats dynasty will be over. The NFL wants ratings, and they want big markets, but they also don't want to have people turning off their biggest game because of pats-view overkill.
