I wouldn't mind bringing Lady Gaga back. She was awesome.

I mean, it's tough to get an artist that everyone likes, isn't (too) controversial, wants to put up with the scrutiny, and translates well to the festivities.

It'll never happen, but I wish they would just scrap the halftime concert altogether.

I'm kind of a Maroon 5 fan and I didn't like it. The Superbowl halftimes are always 45 second clips of the chorus of their most liked songs. With guest stars.

The only redeeming part of the show was that they weren't playing with a giant backing vocal track (a rarity for Superbowl halftime.)

The whole "special performance by..." thing is pretty well played out. Being as the game is on CBS this year, and their top show is in its final season, they should have done a live mini-episode of Big Bang Theory. The regular episodes only run about 19 minutes now, and they could have gotten a lot of mileage about Sheldon being at his first live sports event. Would have been a lot better than that roadkill of a concert we just watched...

Great choice. I also liked Prince, and maybe a couple others.

The majority of them are rough. As someone just mentioned in these comments, they don't even let them play full songs, not even close to that. It's like a quick checklist of a band's Greatest Hits, with shiny guest cameos and pyrotechnics to keep the masses happy. It's more a disservice to the very music they should be showcasing.

This is one of the most boring Super Bowls that I can remember watching. I like strong defenses as much as anyone, but come on.. Rams offense is barely playing. Patriots can't score.
