I don't know there were numerous stories about this with speculation from doctors and other pro athletes who tried similar diets who said that it's not sustainable over the course of football season (forgot who the athlete in the story was, wasn't a big name but not a no name either) So I do think there is something to it.
As you have attested though those foot injury's can linger and be nagging. Since the offense has chugged along without him, Allen has filled in, McCaffrey is pretty much the star that drives it all, it makes sense to put him on IR though.

That's the thing: It's all theory. Nothing's been tested. Cam just started this vegan lifestyle and this would have been his first season playing at that weight.

Again though, a skinny Cam is still larger than many other NFL QBs, so I'm not sure said argument isn't a fool's distraction to begin with anyway...

And, fwiw, Brady and Rodgers, while not strict vegans, are pretty close to vegan in their respective diets...so, it's not like what Cam is doing is that far out there.

Yes I read all of the stories and understand nothing has been tested and the thing that made me think there was at least something to it, however small a sample size, was the story I read where another known athlete shared his story about adopting a vegan diet and finding it not to be sustainable through the course of a season. I wish I could find the article or remember who it was but whatever the case I think the main issue with him is the foot though I think there may be a little something to the vegan diet issue. Won't really know until we see him back on the field, how he performs, assuming he sticks with the diet.

Jordan Matthews is an Eagle again, apparently because Torrey Smith couldn't be convinced to un-retire. Plug and play, I guess. Still need to fix our drop problem, though.
