Trying to rip a helmet off isn't the same as swinging a helmet at an unprotected player's head (and connecting with it!). Not even close. Hence the suspension for one, and not the other.

Tua makes more sense. In which case, Miami's in trouble so they might wanna trade up with Washington. Ooh this is getting fun now.

I just don't really buy into it. Tua isn't a sure bet (and another injury risk), and Stafford hands-down gives us the best ability to win games. Plus the cap hit.

Well if its a trick its a damn good one

If the Lions keep Stafford but force Miami to trade up to 2 dropping Washington to 5 the Lions land Chase Young at number 3, giving them even more ability to win games and solidifying that defense with something that have not had since Chris Spileman.

If the Lions move Stafford they incur a 32 million dollar cap hit. If they move on from him in 2021 the cap hit becomes 19 million.

Draft Tua at #3, let him sit and year and fully recover from injury in what will most likely be a lame duck year for Patricia and his staff. Then you make a decision about cutting/trading Stafford next offseason and start Tua for the 2021 season with the new coaching staff fully behind him.

Could easily see something along those lines happening.

BUT BUT BUT teams and agents can’t discuss contracts for free agents until the ‘legal tapering period.’

Most interesting free agent QB class ever.

That's one of the reasons I don't want them to pay Dak. That and he stunk it up last year when all we needed was one more win. Literally couldn't beat a winning team. We could pay Andy Dalton $20m for the same thing.

If it did happen and that the NFL is covering it up, I'd believe that 100%.

I really hope Mason Rudolph calls his bluff at sues him for defamation of character. Any/all audio would be subpoenaed and then we would know for sure.
Guy is an absolute scumbag and probably won’t be long before he gets suspended for something else.
