I can’t get over the Colts getting that much for Wentz. Did the Commanders watch his tape from the last two seasons?

Certainly possible, but he’s going to go to the team that gives him the best chance to start. Playing is more important to him than money from what I’ve read.

The WFT chances actually decreased for winning the superbowl after making that trade.

I kind of think the guy they already had Heinicke is a better QB than Wentz is at this point, who will most likely last 2 games before going out injured for 6.

And they pick up his whole contract moving forward, so the Bears get a nice $30 million cap hit next season and on.

Too many aging, overpaid duds on the Bears D.

Focus needs to be on getting younger and getting Fields to his potential this year. Worry about being good in 2023 moving forward....when the Packers cap hell starts to creep in.

As for Trubisky, I hope he goes to the Colts. They have a solid team to put around him. Going to the Giants would just be like playing for the Bears again.

Maybe I am missing something, but why would the Browns trade for Amari Cooper and take on his salary when it was reported the Cowboys would most likely cut him?

They weren’t confident he would sign with them as a free agent.

They could not figure out how to use OBJ. No need to assume baker and the browns will figure out how to use Cooper. Cooper has been very much an underachiever relative to the hype (and pay) he’s received over the years.

He drove Jerry Jones crazy with exasperation, but that’s Jones’s own fault for paying way too much for Cooper and expecting him to perform like an elite receiver. He’s not.

Jones was lucky to find a taker (sucker) for Cooper (and his full salary), and the Browns obliged.
