Dak had prime Ezekiel years, while Pollard isn't a superstar he's completely serviceable as an RB esp for a franchise that has always stressed the importance of the offensive line, foundation for everything they do on offense



if we are looking at stats here are some more -

1st - passer rating 116.9
1st - yds per attempt 9.9 * (17th in attempts)
1st - completion pct 70.2
1st - qbr - 74.7
2nd - yds passing 3553 *on 359 passes - checkdown merchant lol
2nd (tie) TD passes 25
3rd - TD/INT ratio 3.6

but sure lets compare Jimmy's 5 game run with CMC to Purdy's 18 now several people in that thread already destroyed OP's "argument" anyway

Pre-CMC it was always noted that you could plug any RB - Mitchell, Wilson, Mostert, etc. - in the SF run game and they'd excel (added Deebo into the mix). Run game was always good, CMC made it great
(if you are going to make this argument btw a better one would be that Brock is nothing without Trent, three game skid came when him and Deebo, missed those games. Also if Brock is so unimportant, CMC should've won the NFCC game on his own right?)

As always, stats don't tell the whole story. There are intangibles and things you SEE watching every game. Jimmy didn't make the throws or right decisions that Brock has been doing. There was always a fear with Jimmy of holding onto the ball too long, taking a bad sack, getting injured, making the wrong throw, throwing a pick. So far I haven't even seen a glimpse of that with Brock (knock on wood).
That said, even though he has a full season worth of games under his belt its way too early to put him in the elite category, though his numbers are great. But that's just the pessimist in me who is just waiting for the bottom to fall out. Part of me thinks the MVP talk is premature BUT if this was the year for him, Dak, Tyreek or McCaffrey to win it, this is the year with Brady retired, Rodgers out and Mahomes not lighting it up.

We have a fantastic pass-blocking line but the runblocking is serviceable at best. Steele is a bit of an anomaly, he strives in run-blocking but struggles in pass pro, hopefully next year he'll be better further removed from his ACL tear.

You could legitimately give it to CMC, Dak, Reek or Purdy right now. No Cowboys QB has ever won it so it'd be a nice feather in Dak's cap.

Staley is a moron. He’s apparently a good DC, though. Can’t really say for certain because he ran a loaded Rams D in his only year as a DC and the also-loaded Chargers D didn’t look so hot when he was asked to run both this year.

Guy is just not head coach material, it's a good cautionary tail to all my fellow Pats fans out there screaming for Bills head. Chances are better that the next guy will be a far worse head coach regardless of how low it has gotten here. There just is not enough good ones to go around just like Quarterbacks!

Fast forward to today, speculation that Bill would be a good fit with the Chargers with Herbert and some good talent on the roster. would probably be the best chance of him breaking Shula's record.
