The big difference now is jerry's 147 yrs old & basically Stephens running the team.
I brought it up weeks ago about Billy B.
It's actually better to lose because signing him would be better in the long run it can't be worse.

But people have told me Dax the MVP so don't count them out.

I think Jerry is the Cowboys main problem, he is a control freak. However, Prescott seems to choke in the playoffs. Amazing watching them blow another playoff game. There is still the second half though, but they are in a deep hole.

Think Bill's personality is why Jerry hasn't had a coach/GM since 2006.

Belichick doesn't have to be GM, was open to giving up that role in NE at the end.
Jerry's hunger to win again esp with the roster assembled as is, Belichick may be the one to get them over the hump
But sure, stick with the status quo, really working out

Losing, underperforming can humble some owners, teams. In SF, York and his minion GM Trent Baalke meddled so much they ran Harbaugh out of town. Several years of losing under several head coaches and York finally handed the keys over to Lynch and Shanny and stopped meddling.

Defense is clearly over-rated and Dak is crumbling, if they can't pull this game out then Mike and Dak both need to be gone. At some point lack of post-season success has to matter.

are you saying give Trey the reins? is Dak's contract even moveable? not that it will happen. Pretty sure whoever the next HC is is going to want some say in who their QB is

Yeah I don't know what the answer is but Dak has a bad post-season record and is a big part of the reason they're losing today. Defense is trash today too.

Sun Tze said in the Art of War that if one side prepares better than the opponent, the battle is already won before it is even fought. That feels like what is happening. Green Bay is playing like they have no doubt, stopping Dallas at every turn. We watch a lot of sports and think we know how a game will play out, but we rarely see how teams prepare before the game. If we had an "all-access" look of how players trained, coaches prepared plays, etc., before the game, we wouldn't be surprised now. Every working person like you and I know this. If you run a coffee shop and your latest flavor sells poorly, you know it was because of the way you prepared for it: creating the flavor, pricing it, marketing for it, etc.

Dan Quinn is the most overrated DC I've seen in quite some time. Scheme gets absolutely worked too often, especially in the play-offs. Glad he's going to be gone, hopefully the next DC will actually build a defense that can stop a good or average offense once in awhile when it matters.
