Smart imo, with the amount of first-time coaches that were hired so far there will no doubt be some openings next season when they fail and are fired after a year.

People are such wusses
2 people said to me this will be the least watched super bowl in yrs
I told them lets bet$$ on that then - i say it wont be - they wont bet.

What alot dont know is out of home viewing is now counted by nielsen in the official total so super bowls now have a big advantage when comparing to yrs ago cause it can add like 25 million viewers to the total.

It's like the member at AVS that ranted about rigged NFL, but when asked about betting with the Chiefs made up some BS excuse.....which calls BS on his conspiracy (which you did and I appreciated).

Let's face it, people don't really believe the NFL owners, refs, teams and commissioner have all colluded to pick one team over another. You have Vegas, ad dollars and sponsorships that hang on the balance.

I should add, you'd also have to have complicit silence from ppl who have left the NFL, like owners, refs and one would assume (some) players. Also, would ALL reporters be in on the NFL being rigged? If not, so with all the reporters covering the sport, no one has found any evidence or heard anything about the games being rigged?

I'm sure my great grandkids will study how the pandemic impacted people's ability to reason.

I see there are rumors about a potential reunion of Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson in Vegas. May as well coax Marshawn Lynch out of retirement as well.

I thought Russ and Pete weren't on the best of terms when Russ was traded from SEA?

I can't remember where I read it today, but supposedly they mended fences, or kissed and made up or whatever.

I’m not super into flag football or the Pro Bowl either, so I totally get what you mean about no football this weekend. When there’s a break like this, I usually end up exploring other things to kill time. Lately, I’ve been trying out some online pokies in Australia with free spins because they’re pretty fun and don’t require much commitment. It’s a cool way to chill when the games are off.

Bubba Smith talked about Super Bowl 3 being rigged. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nf...182818039.html Also a referee from the NBA admitted to changing calls.

As for the reporters one network is owned by the NFL, and has killed stories. The other is owned by a corporation and has killed stories.

This is also the league that was involved in multiple scandals.

I get what you are saying, corruption is possible...certainly, when you have ppl and money involved it's possible. BUT, it's so highly unlikely that it's not a reasonable conclusion. ...which is what ppl are proposing online...

Again, the isolated incidents you are pointing out (one SB from decades ago) are not evidence to support the current season being rigged or scripted.

Here's Julian Edelman's resent response to Refs and the Chiefs Cheating:

Oh of course. Yet it makes sense for Mahomes to be there for multiple reasons. There is no way to prove it, and no one will at the moment speak out on it. Maybe sometime in the future someone else will talk. The same thing happened withe the Patriots. The league came to a conclusion then put down the punishment. Then lied about releasing the test results. They paid the price when the Patriots still one that year.

As Ric Flair would say to be the man you have to beat then man. If you beat them by 30 the refs cannot get involved.
