Yeah I knew that... And honestly if they told me they were bringing in AFL guys and maybe washed up former players than I could careless about the draft. As I'd have some research to do about who my team was going to have on it

I see what the rest of you have said about scabs but the owners have rules in place to prevent that. Also the NFL is as good as it is because it has world class athletes, scabs just wouldn't be the same.

lol all scabs would be a level playing field so we really wouldn't know what were missing its not like say when the Steelers play the Bills/Lions where you have one A team vs a stink team this way they'd all suck equally and it would be wonderful

Which would be pretty funny.
If the lockout is still going on in September, there will no games. The NFL can't use scabs these days. But I have no doubt that no games will be missed, they will get it all sorted out by mid summer I imagine.

I don't see why not, unless there is some kind of stipulation... They may not dominate the ratings as much as they do now, but just like with preseason games they'd be a powerhouse... And again they can make new stars. Only thing I'm unsure of is if thats even possible, but the way I'm looking at it the Players are no longer an official union then guys like Oj Atogwe who already are locked in for 5 years, can come and go as they please.

Oh if you guys got Paterson that would be a damn good secondary with Byrd

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure I read/heard somewhere that the NFL legally can't use scab players. And yes, Buffalo needs to draft Patterson. I think he's the best football player in the draft period, and he should be a stud in the NFL for a very long time. Then in the second round take someone like Dalton or Ponder.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. I'm afraid what I might do to my TV if that pick occurs.

The Bills is not drafting Cam Newton and if they do, they are retarded, their problem is defense, the offense is good enough

You're just mad that Dez Bryant is more talented than all of your receivers put together.

Here's something amusing I found from The Economist magazine. Growth rate in player salaries from major American sports (1990-2006). So of course the NFL leads the way since popularity is at an all-time high, right? And surely the NHL is lagging.

[Show spoiler]Not exactly...

If you said that to me, I would say that Percy Harvin is better than Dez, same with Sidney Rice when healthy
