It's really sad because I think he is a great talent. But with AP on his team, along with the addition of Harvin he kinda just dropped off the radar. That and the whole year Favre was worthless didn't help.

He could be on a team and help them get to the Super Bowl, but that ain't the Seahawks. (This year at least) And being stuck with a team full of backup QB's and no real starters isn't going to make him look any better.

McNabb would have made Rice a much better receiver I think. Oh well, this gives Berrian a chance to work his way back into the line up after a year of almost completely being outed of playing time.

I was right about Rice going to Seattle, sounds like the Cowboys signed LG Kyle Kosier to a 3 year deal, would still like them to draft his replacement soon. Never thought of the guy as more than serviceable.

Berrian is most likely to be released

OOH MY GOD lol he's fate's problem now

(more like he'll be the monster he was suppossed to be here DOH! )

I think the Pats saw that even if he just trys a little bit (like the first year he got Carter and Orakpo career numbers) he can impact the team let alone if he really tries

Yep... They have nothing to lose, just another Randy Moss deal to gain where they turn a po'ed player into one of the best in the league, or if he acts up again his career is basically over (maybe Washburn would take a flyer if he messed up in NE), but this is basically his last chance and if he doesn't deliver in NE, teams will sure as S* take notice.

IF they can get production out of him this is a DYNAMITE trade. A future 5th rounder is nothing compared to what Haynesworth will be if he gets back to his former self.

I really saw someone tradin a 2nd or 3rd for him. But I guess not many people were calling.

Yep its a great move as I said before he'll either fly or fail and if he does a good job people will say its nothing more than the Pats being able to reach yet another player. Again people may not notice if you can't get in the right mindset in DC, but if you can't get up to play with Brady and Belichick then he'll be done VERY quick.

Maybe the Steelers, Ravens, Pats, Jets and GB could have him come in and shut his mouth (and even then he may be so far gone he wouldn't) everyone else wasn't going to take that fat risk.

* and I know a few of those are 3-4 teams I'm talking from a purely leadership locker room mindstate

Dang I wish I could drive home from work and get some headphones to listen to streaming sports talk

I am sure they will get production out of him, they have a scary defensive line now with Hayesworth, Warren and Wilkfork!

Even if they don't then he still comes off looking as foolish and can be, and nobody is the wiser. He'll be out of the league and in 10 years people will say "member that 100 million dollar fat failure"

And we'll read about him in bankruptcy court. After buying a fatburger franchise and eating all the inventory.

In Jaguars news, Pro-Bowl TE Marcedes Lewis is holding out. He didn't show up in the team meeting yesterday and it's been reported that he's still in California where he resides.

I know he wants a new deal. He played very well, but he's still "Butterfinger" Lewis to me. He'll drop passes still, but I'm glad he's been the best player during the off-season which made him to a premier TE in the NFL. I hope this trend continues because he creates a lot of mismatches and is an easy target for Garrard.

I see him doing so because again if he'd gone to the Raiders or Titans he can say "well the team is crap just like the Redskins." Now if he tries it being in a successful well run team it won't fly with the rest of the league.

Dang that is a scary front they have now , He didn't like Blaches line and he helped two players get 10+ sacks (+ some other guys stepped up when in). And even if he throws a fit and gets cut all it does is confirm what we all think anyway.

SCARY SCARY SCARY.

Yeah Same with Santana he may have a season with 90 catches but the drops he has count towards at least 1-2 losses a year because they are such key possession drops.

They do have a habit of changing players attitudes. Probably only took him because they got him on the cheap side of that monster deal.

It’s not even that. It’s really the great environment, which as I said if you can't play nice in that I think almost any of the franchises can say "well if they can't do it we sure can't". Take Adalius Thomas for example still a great player back in 09' gets in arguments with the Pat's and poof not even playing anymore. So what would have happened to guys like Dillion, Moss (whose HOF skills really are what kept getting him chances more than Dillion or fatty), and Haynesworth...
