I'm just hoping that Belichick pulls another Lawyer Milloy and releases Meriweather after the fourth preseason game. He can go 'on swo,' elsewhere.

I was looking over the Patriots recent 1st round picks and outside the debateable Meriweather and Maroney picks, the only "bust" would probably be Katzenmoyer, but it's difficult to label a guy a "bust" if he is forced to retire because of an injury.

Patriots have certainly had their share of busts in the second and third rounds, though.

I tried to find one of just him doing the air guitar but that one had an inappropriate tag so I chose that one instead. I really don't like McNabb, probably because of all those times the Iggles whupped the Cowboys while he was in Philly.

LOL... someone on the Dan Patrick show called it dead on. They were making predictions on Pryor and everyone picked Cleveland or Cincy except one guy who picked Oakland because he knew Al would reach. The 4th or 5th round I could see, but this guy isn't worth a 3rd round pick.

The only reason Cleveland would have drafted Pryor (I don't think they would have personally.... we have a front office with a little sense) is to sell merchandise.... They know OSU fans are so blind by their homerism, they are delusional enough to think this guy is gonna actually have an NFL career.

I kinda fell bad for Andy Dalton. The kid has potential but he's definately not ready to be an NFL starter. He's going to take a beating given Cincy's o-line.

At least it doesn't cost the Raiders first round money like it did with Russell. First overall pick but holding out for more money and being awful on the field is the worst case scenario. Pryor however is a decent gamble.

I find all of this hate torwards the Raiders & Pryor hilarious, had your favorite team drafted him you would all be bragging on what a steal you got, who cares if we lost a third round pick, we will get one next year for losing Nnamdi anyways... Have you seen who we have at qb

, Guys got some potential, should also be able to try out other positions... At least give him a shot

... The comments ive ready on every website, seems like hes already failed at the NFL level without even playing a game

A 3rd round pick is a 3rd round pick regardless of how many you had. You just wasted one of them on a bum. And next draft should be stacked when it comes to QB's. Oakland could have easily found a better QB in the 3rd round of the draft in 2012 than Pryor.

So your basing this on 0 NFL games played at qb or any other position? How is he a bum? please explain?

Albert Haynesworth pleaded no contest today to simple assault in connection with an incident in which he allegedly touched a waitress' breast (this was the case in which he said after the alleged incident that there's no way he touched her because he didn't like black women). Haynesworth was sentenced to 160 hours of community service and will get the charge off his record if he stays out of trouble for 18 months. Haynesworth will likely get suspended by the league for this incident since he's a repeat offender who was suspended in 2006 after stepping on the forehead of Andre Gurode.

I'm basing it on my following his college career. He was the key guy who brought the NCAA hammer down on Ohio St. with ruels violations and his game just doesn't translate to a successful NFL QB. It's not just me saying that either. There's a reason why no expert had him going earlier than the 4th or 5th round had Oakland not taken him.

if pryor actually plays QB in the NFL....i see him going the same route as Cam Newton!!

They both relied on their legs a lot in college….as did Tebow….and that just doesn’t translate well to the NFL where the players are so much faster.

Vick is an exception to that… but he’s already proven you can get hurt playing the style of QB in the league.
