The Dolphins have signed former Chiefs, Bengals, and Redskins running back Larry Johnson. Johnson was an All Pro in 2005 and 2006 but has been ineffective since then. Last season he had 2 yards on 5 carries for the Redskins and was released after 2 games.

Cowboys have signed K Shayne Graham, he can't be worse than the 2 guys we have right now. I say cut Buehler and let Bailey and Graham battle it out till the Jets game.

You actually have 3 other kickers right now, as Kai Forbath is also on the roster but is currently hurt. I've never heard of a team having 4 kickers on the roster. Graham was 14/14 on field goals last year for the Patriots but his long was only 41 yards.

Really, do you think they are going to go into the season with 4 kickers. They aren't going to have 4 kickers on their roster when the season starts. This is called competition, that is part of what training camp is for. I like it Graham is a very good kicker and if he can prove it before the season then he will be the kicker to start the season.

They obviously aren't going to carry 4 kickers in the season, but it's still unusual to see a team with 4 kickers on the roster. The new rule changing the kickoff spot to the 30 could hurt Buehler because his long kickoff ability won't be as important anymore because other kickers should be able to get touchbacks often and he's had some accuracy problems on field goals.

As a Colts fan, I'm hoping that Manning will play in the opening game @ Texans, my hunch is he will.

Chris Johnson announced that he and his agent will meet with Titans management on Wednesday.
"To see which way we are going," tweeted Johnson. "Could get better or wors(e)." Profootballtalk expected contract talks to heat up this week, and this is the first positive sign since training camp opened. The Titans have insisted that no offer would be forthcoming until Johnson reports whereas CJ2K has wanted a contract offer as a good-faith measure. He's meeting them more than half-way with a face-to-face discussion. Let's see if they can close the gap this week.

Some members of the Broncos organization tell Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports that Tim Tebow is the fourth-best QB in training camp.
"If everything was totally equal, and this were a competition based only on performance at this camp, Tebow would probably be the fourth-string guy," one source said. "Kyle [Orton] is far and away the best, and Tebow's way behind [Brady] Quinn, too. And I'm telling you, Adam Weber is flat-out better right now." Added another Broncos exec, "Forget about how [Tebow] delivers the ball, or how accurate it is. First he has to know where to go with it." Team officials are now relieved that the Dolphins opted against meeting Denver's third-round asking price on Orton. Tebow was always expected to be a developmental project, but this year's camp has been a blow to his long-term outlook.

I am not really sure if their is anything left in his tank. I don't think it hurts us but I dont think it helps either.

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports the Ravens and tackle Bryant McKinnie have agreed to a deal. The Ravens are pretty desperate at tackle and were set to start Mark LeVoir, who the Patriots recently cut, at right tackle. McKinnie still needs to pass a physical which isn't a given after he showed up severely overweight and out of shape at Vikings camp, which prompted the team to cut him.

Well, good luck to McKinnie, he will be together again with Matt Birk who I sorely miss!

hopefully gonna go check out packers practice this coming sunday!!

then a tour of lambeau and the packer hall of fame...and pix of our 4th super bowl trophy!!

practice is @ 11:30 so we're hoping to get there about 9 and being able to get seats in the bleachers to watch the offense this year.
Blu,

I just took the family over there for a pre-season game and did the Lambeau experience.... HOF complete with a new Lombardi Trophy and the tour. Nothing like going through the tunnel and seeing the field right in front of you.

I am grateful that the Packers chose to renovate the stadium insteading of replacing it. There is so much history there... even if you are not a Packer fan it is still sacred ground to a football fan.

One interesting fact from the tour... the first league the Packers entered in 1920 the franchise fee was $100. No one paid it and the league folded at the end of the year. The next year, the Packers entered what was to become the NFL and the fee was $250. The last team to join the league, the Texans, paid a $700M franchise fee.

I can't wait for opening night to see the unveiling of the 2010 championship in the "Ring of Honor" in person.

That's nice but in all honesty how will you feel in 2011 when you lose to the Lions?

Sorry lol had to get that in there, me and a few buddies always wanted to take a roadtrip up there in the middle of Dec just to tailgate from Det, just because its Lambeau Field. Tailgating in Det just isn't the same as everywhere else. We have to tailgate like 1 mile away from the stadium then walk. Lambeau is Lambeau town is shut down on Sundays everyone at the game, its a great football town.

Speaking of tailgating, Niner fans are pretty screwed, as tailgating will be shutdown come kick off so you are no longer allowed to party (tailgate) during the game at Candleshit park...
