Sounds like Austin will be out until the New England game so really hoping right now that Dez can not only come back this week against the Redskins but also carry our passing attack until Miles comes back.

I think he can manage the game better than most of the guys we've had in the past, but he's still too small, and will never be the type of guy who can take a team on his back and win a game when he needs to.

He does a pretty good job of getting out of the pocket to throw the ball away, buying time, or finding a check-down... basically makes a lot of smart decisions..... He can't run a fast offense and throw darts in small spaces consistently when he has to though.....

Like I have said before.... if we keep building up the O-Line, get Hillis to demand more attention, and get at least one BIG TIME WR, we'll be a real contender...

but right now:

1) Our O-Line is good, but banged up yet again with the loss of Steinbach

2) We don't have any great WRs.... NONE... don't fool yourself.

3) We need a better D-Line

4) Our DBs are actually pretty good, but still young and kind of play with a flashy style.

Basically our Defense isn't good enough to hold onto games, so when we're up by 10 points going into the 4th quarter, we can't afford to play conservative, and rely on the defense to win it for us.... we have to keep scoring, and the problem I see, is that we get a lead, then it turns into RUN for 1 or 2, RUN for 1 or 2... Pass when they know we have to throw, and our WRs who aren't that great, can't get separation....

Our team, as far as talent, is WAY further this year than we have been in previous years, and we're doing much better drafting than previous years....

I'm also glad we aren't doing the Cincy "quick fix" approach of getting a T.O. type player etc... and we're developing the young guys we have. With that said, I always thought losing Eric Wright was a mistake.... we should have found a way to keep that guy.

Either way.... one of many rebuilding years right

The thing to look forward to, is the fact that our O-Line and D-Line are taken care of well enough, that a FA here or there will really solidify both lines, and we can actually take a shot a highly touted WR in the draft.... If we had the 1st year Braylon Edwards we drafted way-back-when NOW..... it'd be completely different... He's gonna make the drops he always made... but he's going to demand that double coverage that currently none of our guys really demand.....

We'll be exposed badly when we play a team like Green Bay, or Philly, or TEN, or NE, who have GREAT DBs......

We'll see though.... it's games like those that you have to hope for good play from Hillis, or big special-teams/Def. plays....

Many games are won/lost with penalties and turnovers.....

Packers FS Nick Collins' neck injury is season ending.
A tough break after an initial CT scan of Collins' neck came back negative. Any time a neck injury is serious enough to end a player's season, it has to also be considered career threatening. A Pro Bowler three years running and one of the NFL's more underrated ball hawks, Collins will be nearly impossible to replace. It's a huge blow for a Packers' pass defense that's been torched in each of its first two games. Charlie Peprah is first up to replace Collins in the starting lineup, likely at strong safety with Morgan Burnett at free.

lol im sure he was joking, welcome back, now please behave! and no need for play by play commentating during NFL games ... How pissed were you when the Vikings blew a 17-0 lead, i thought for sure they had that game, we blew a 17 point lead too

Also, what are your thoughts on Lesean Mccoy whos been ripping it up past 2 weeks... who you deemed "overrated" a week ago

I was not pissed because I had a feeling the Vikings would choke away the lead and lose because they are chokers and I was right so I am not suprised anymore, Lesean is still overrated until he gets over 2,000 yards for the season

OMFG seriously dood Only like 6 backs have done that in the History of the NFL Jesus Christ. Seriously please stop talking BS. The Last NFL back to do that before C2K was Jamal Lewis

1973: O. J. Simpson • 1984: Eric Dickerson • 1997: Barry Sanders • 1998: Terrell Davis • 2003: Jamal Lewis • 2009: Chris Johnson

Just WoW, So I guess AP is also overrated by your standards because he never did 2k+ in a season...

On the topic of teams tho My Team won 48-3 w00t w00t...

BTW for you Dallas Fans Romo Injury may be worse then anyone thought.

Quote:
ESPN Dallas and ESPN's Chris Mortensen are both reporting that Tony Romo played Sunday's win over San Francisco with a punctured lung.
Mort reports that Romo's Week 3 status is "uncertain," but that he's "hoping" to face the Redskins. ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer reports that the lung puncture "doesn't change (Romo's) status" for next Monday night. In Sunday's heroic, comeback victory, Romo battled both a cracked rib and the ruptured long en route to 345 passing yards and two TDs. The extended layoff should help Romo's chances of playing in Week 3, and we'd bet he'll be out there.

O wise one please explain to me HOW AP is better then Sanders... This ought to be fun because by your standards AP is overrated because he has not done 2k In a season you said it 5 posts ago. Barry has done 2k And then Retired at the top of his game. So please explain to me how 4 posts ago someone was overrated because they had not done 2k in a season but AP is god according to you Minny fans.

O no this is a discussion dont try to back out now. By your logic AP is underrated because he has not done 2k in a season. So please explain that logic, and you really need to now because after that 2k comment no one is going to take anything you say seriously ever again. Especially when you trouched perhaps the greatest back in NFL history. Is Barry the Greatest idk, but you show me 1 bad run compared the other back of his time which was Emitt Smith. Barry had nothing in front of him AP at least had a line at some point, the Line AP has now is probably equivalent to what was in front of Barry or OJ, but nothing like Emitt had. So please do us all a favor and honestly explain your logic here on how AP is A not only better then Barry but B how he is not overrated because he did not have 2k in Yardage in a season.

Emmitt is overrated and is not that good, he just got the yards thanks to his offensive line and as for Barry, he is not that good because he has way too many negative yards, Walter Payton is better than Barry also and Adrian is better than Barry because Adrian got the most rushing yards in a single game which Barry did not even do and also, the Vikings will defeat your Lions next week
