I think the rumor in the offseason was that they could get a 2nd and maybe a late round pick for Palmer, but Brown refused to do it. I kind of agreed with Brown in the offseason because his stance was that if he traded Palmer, then it would cause other players to demand trades knowing that Palmer was successful in doing so. Now that Dalton has been playing well, he should be fine with trading Palmer. Palmer will be 32 next offseason, they need to trade him now while he still has value. I would think they could get more than a conditional 3rd in 2013 though.

Boller knows the playbook which is a big plus but then again he's not starting material.

Garrard or Palmer would need more than Oakland's bye week to get up to Campbell's level. (Obviously Palmer is more talented than Campbell but i'm talking about this current situation).

The Raiders need to make a move. If Boller was in his "Raven's" prime (which still isn't saying much) they could've stuck with him but not now. I say go wtih Garrard. They'll overpay for Palmer.

I'm happy with the 5-1 record going into the bye considering how tough their schedule has been but I still don't believe the Patriots can beat the Ravens in the playoffs unless Brady plays absolutely lights out.

I've read a couple rumors about moves the Patriots might make. I've heard they are interested in Brandon Lloyd. Apparently Lloyd would have an easy time learning the Patriots offense because all the terminology and routes are similar to Denver since Josh McDaniels used the same offense. If the Pats brought in Lloyd they'd probably drop Ocho, who has been a non-factor. I've also read a rumor that the Patriots and Vikings have discussed trading Jared Allen for a first round pick. The Pats have 2 first round picks (their own and the Saints) but I would still be surprised if that move happened. Stars in their prime are rarely traded.
Not to mention if the Vikings were to trade Allen I don't think a late 1st round pick would exactly be what they want in return.

Scandrick had a much better game against Welker than I thought he would, holding the guy to 6 catches for 45 yards and a TD. Still wish we would've on but our play-calling on offense really needs to improve, if it does I could see us going 6-1 or 7-0 over our next 7 games.

That 3-and-out before Brady's touchdown drive was terrible. Everyone and their grandmother knew that the Cowboys were going to run the ball, but sometimes you have to take chances in order to win.

Interesting. The Rams receivers have been terrible so far and Lloyd has experience in Josh McDaniels system.

I think it is a good trade between both teams

I kinda wanna post after you so it's always Suggs and Lewis.

Anyway, I don't like this trade. The Rams are basically out of playoff contention and need a lot more than 1 WR to be more competitive.

This must be a move for the future because like you said, they are not contending for a playoff spot, so renting him for the rest of the season makes no sense. I honestly expected a team like the 49ers or Patriots to trade for him just to rent for the rest of the season with no plans on resigning him.

Jon Gruden has signed an exclusive five-year contract extension with ESPN for Monday Night Football, meaning he won't be coaching until at least 2017.

Jon is not even a good coach anyway, like everybody said, Jon won the Superbowl with Dungy's team and after Dungy's team left, Jon has not been back to the Superbowl, show that Jon is overrated

I'd be more worried if I were afraid Jenkins and Newman couldn't cover him. Apparently the Rams gave up a 6th rounder that could become a 5th rounder depending on Lloyd's performance.

That surprises me. I really didn't think he was going to be working for ESPN for that long, and I really thought he was going to become the Dolphins head coach next year. I guess he's really enjoying what he's doing now, good for him. He's an excellent analyst.
