As long as the 9ers make the super bowl I'm happy , I would love to see Giants/ Pats with the proper outcome this time.

So, the Giants are one win away from the Super Bowl after barely making the playoffs. That's why I don't understand people who root against their team just to get a better schedule/draft pick. Anything can happen in the playoffs, especially when you play at home.

I guess Giants fans who were rooting against their team on the final game of the season feel pretty stupid right now. Oh wait, those were Cowboys fans...

I mean, I'm sure everyone expected Alex Smith to go further in the playoffs than Aaron Rodgers...Anything can happen. That's my motto, just make the playoffs and anything can happen...

I think I saw about a dozen articles discussing whether another super bowl will make Eli the superior Manning. Peyton misses a year due to neck injury and suddenly everyone forgets his accomplishments. Eli will never touch Peyton. Eli has been elite this year, but leave the comparisons alone until Eli starts winning multiple MVP's or has a whopping 9.9% touchdown percentage in a season (2004).

All that said, Eli is winning Superbowl #2 this year against the Patriots.

Eli's above average, and has still to this day never carried a team. He's a glorified game manager. I'd have loved to have seen him try to lead some of the teams like Brees, Brady, and even Manning in 06 had to do (even though the defense won him the rain game).

People who do that are not true fans. Not at all. Fans that act like that really bother me. I root my heart out for my teams during each and every game. I would never abandon them. /Rant over.

You and I are a rare specie...

It's one thing to not caring at all about a meaningless final game of the season, but when the division title is at stake, that's just stupid.

What makes you think I was rooting against my team the last week of the season? You should've seen how fired up I was when La La Robinson made it 21-14 and I thought we had a chance to come back. The sad truth is the Giants are much better than we are, hopefully this off-season we can do something to change that.

That was not aimed at you. Someone even mentioned he should change his username...He's probably too busy "planning" the next season...

Eli has never had the talent around him those players have. He does lead his team and wins their games. Despite all the different players and styles and turmoil he just keeps winning and winning. Plus playing in new York is harder then playing anywhere else in the world. I don't think there are 5 better qbs in the league.

Two pro bowl olineman this year alone, Nicks and Cruz who both look like pro bowlers in the coming years, kevin boss pro bowl TE.

no talent around him?

Not to mention consistency in coaching staff far more than a guy like Brady.

I'd take Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Manning (depending on that neck), Stafford, and maybe even Romo. I'd like to see Eli run around behind that cowboys oline, or deal with Garretts play calling.

Kevin Boss plays for Oakland, perhaps you mean the injured Jake Ballard. You're forgetting Mario Manningham and their two stud runningbacks, Bradshaw and Jacobs.

I will say, as a Cowboys fan, before this season I thought Romo was better than Manning. I have since changed that opinion -
Manning is 5-2 in his last 7 games against the Cowboys
Manning is 6-3 in the play-offs, Romo is 1-3.
You can make the argument Manning has the better team around him but Romo simply isn't clutch, the guy's bone-headed mistakes cost us the Jets game and the Lions game, I don't blame him for the first Giants loss because he played as well as you can ask your QB to play in that one. Manning went from pretty good to elite this season and to me that's not a good thing for the rest of the division. Romo will be elite when he gets a better play-caller to manage his deficiencies and a defense to bail him out when he's not playing well.

Manning's a winner, don't get me wrong, but just like most NY qb's he gets far more credit then he deserves. I think if Romo had the same consistency Eli's been afforded he'd be the better qb. I also wouldn't say Eli's playing with more scrutiny then a cowboys qb gets.

I sure don't see Tisch, and Mara doing interviews the way Jerry does.

He's still worlds ahead of Mark Sanchez and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Romo is a decent regular season QB that puts up flashy numbers but for whatever reason doesn't always get it done in the 4th quarter and for bad luck or what have you has never had much post-season success. I do think people who believe he's the problem in Dallas either don't really watch the Cowboys or don't know much about football.

Ill give you the first four no argument and i think eli is fifth. Romo has not done anything when it counts and doesn't show up in playoffs or even get his team there. Stafford has only done that once and played one full season so you can't put him in the same class as eli. Yet. As for his weapons over his career I don't think anyone will day he's had a consistent group of elite ones. In the end he keeps winning and winning playoff games which most qbs can't say they are.
