Well VY also tried to kill himself so I think its safe to remove RG3 from that category
VY:
51.5% comp%
12-13 td/int
2199 yrds

6.7 yrd pc.

RG3
65.6%
20/5
3200
815 rush
7 tds
6.8 yrds pc

Only thing I worry about is RG3 while he looks to be great at passing needs to develop into a passing qb, otherwise he'll be done in 3 years and unless he wins a super bowl it'll be a sad career (and honestly even if he did and wound up out of the league it'll be sad cause it'll be what should have been).

I am worried after that 9-18 100 yrds he might be Tony Romo jr. I need his best games in playoffs and crunch time, not regular season when you've got nothing to lose.

i would feel okay about it because he had Morris having a career day so he didn't need to do anything else

although, at the same time BECAUSE Morris was having such a great game, RGIII should have had a great game himself... but don't think of that! don't think of that!

Oh I know. It's obvious that RG3's maturity level is terrific for a guy his age. Different from Vince Young for sure. Really the only potential issue for RG3 I've seen is that the guy needs to do a better job protecting himself in certain cases. Quite a few times I've seen him try to get that extra yard or two running the ball rather than sliding or running it out of bounds. I think it was one of those type of plays that gave him a concussion.

Congrats to Oakland for taking back the title of worst home attendance for the season. Here are the most reason worst attendance home teams in the NFL. Oakland has been worst 3 times in 4 years.

2012 - Oakland - 54,216
2011 - Cincinnati - 49,251
2010 - Oakland - 46,431
2009 - Oakland - 44,284
2008 - Detroit - 54,497

Naturally Dallas has been #1 in attendance for 4 straight years. Of course that's mainly because of their stadium size. I'll bet Green Bay could still sell out even if they added another 15k or so seats to Lambeau.

Even Adrian Peterson's surgeon says he's a freak of nature. And this guy is a world class doctor, just confirms AD is a once in a lifetime athlete.

Well see if he's still doing it in 2-3 years. He'll be heading into season 7 which is when backs seem to start hitting walls.

The photo below was in the New York Daily News this morning. It shows Rex Ryan has a tattoo on his bicep of his wife in a Mark Sanchez jersey. She may be Tebowing in the tattoo as well.

[IMG][/IMG]

On a side note, Rex is staying at the Atlantis hotel. I stayed there in November. It is a very nice resort and is massive.

Lol I saw that. At least he's smart enough to do it in a way he could make the whole shirt green if he needed to.

No wonder why Rex was so committed to Sanchez.

Chiefs have fired GM Scott Pioli. Translation: Paving the way for Andy Reid's arrival. Filed to ESPN.

Chiefs say it is a mutual parting of ways with Scott Pioli. This allows him to pursue other opportunities with lots of gigs out there.
It was pretty clear once the owner started interviewing coaching candidates without Pioli that Pioli was going to get fired.

This looks good....NBC has released a preview of the four episode documentary, produced by former HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg and NFL Films:

Four-Part NBC Sports Network Series to Look at the Business of the NFL

The National Football League didn't always dominate television sets and merchandise stands in America. Remember: Baseball reigned supreme in the U.S. sports hierarchy until only a few decades ago, and before that boxing was the nation's favorite sport.

What changed?

NBC Sports Network will be taking an in-depth look at how the NFL has stolen the hearts of American consumers in a four-part series, debuting Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, entitled Star-Spangled Sundays.

"Episode I: Rise of a Colossus – Tuesday, January 8 at 10 p.m. E.T.. ET. Deft handling of the new medium of television vaults the National Football League from America’s fourth most popular sport into a cultural and financial titan.

Episode II: Labor Pains – Tuesday, January 15 (Time TBD). NFL players and owners work to create labor peace in the NFL’s $9 billion industry.

Episode III: Brand NFL – Tuesday, January 22 (Time TBD). Riding a cultural and demographic tidal wave, the NFL turns professional football into a year-round, revenue-generating business and has become the most powerful brand in American sports.

Episode IV: Super Sunday – Tuesday, January 29 (Time TBD). The NFL transforms the Super Bowl into the biggest entertainment event on the American calendar."

In a followup the deal is done Reid is the Cheifs Coach, Jamaal Charles should jump on on fantasy charts now.

Quote:

The Chiefs have reached an agreement to make Andy Reid their next head coach.

The deal is not yet official, as the agreement is pending the review of the five-year contract by attorneys on both sides. Although early speculation had ex-Browns GM Tom Heckert joining Reid in Kansas City, he's now expected to bring in Packers director of operations John Dorsey to run scouting and the draft. Reid will likely maintain personnel control in a manner similar to Bill Belichick, Mike Shanahan, Pete Carroll, and Jeff Fisher. Ex-Eagles DC Juan Castillo is expected to be hired as OL coach while Pat Shurmur and Brad Childress are candidates for offensive coordinator. The Chiefs complied with the NFL's Rooney Rule by interviewing Falcons ST coach Keith Armstrong.

*in regards to the link*

please get rid of the Rooney rule or stop mentioning it. all mentioning it in that clip did was remind people it was there. no one read that and said, "WAIT! DID THEY SATISFY THE ROONEY RULE??!" that rule was made in a different era and has no effect on hiring coaches these days. coaches of any age, race or whatever can and do win.

end of rant on that...

on Reid. will be very interesting to see what he does in KC. would be neat to see him build a dynasty, or at least a consistent contender there.

I have a feeling Cincy is going to pull the upset this weekend. The Texans haven't been playing their best the past few weeks since everyone thought they would secure the #1 seed against the Vikings a few weeks back.
