Well the difference between the two is night and day. Bryant seems to lack ethical character, but is a magnificent football player. Te'o is a really good guy, but I'm not sure how his skill set will transcend to the next level.

not to derail the thread since Te'o has his own thread, but even at best: Te'o had a relationship with a woman he never met (at least this was the last info / best case scenario i read at 1 pm today, so things may have changed) and lied to the world about actually having a real relationship with her and meeting her / being in a relationship where the two people see each other. he did this without any issue on national television.

if that doesn't spark questions about his ethics (i.e. lying so easily and seemingly not caring about lying), i don't know what will.

he deserves it, but talk about a complete 180! Andrew Luck, possibly the best / most ready college QB in league history (or at least since P. Manning 10+ years ago) to... well, whoever it is the Cardinals have as QB

lol you mean Te'o could be a really crazy guy... I'm sure he'll be like a Larry Foote or Thomas Davis, where he'll be worth having on your team and a solid starter, but not someone you game-plan around. Either way if you could get like 10 years of consistency its worth a 2nd round pick. But it won't be worth it if he starts walking around the practice facility with a blow up doll as his new girl.

The Browns hired Mike Lombardi as their GM (although his actual title will be VP of Player Personnel). Since 2008 Lombardi has been working in the media and has been on NFL Network and NFL.com since 2010. Before that Lombardi spent 10 years with the Raiders front office.

Looking more at AccuScore's predictions for the Falcons/49ers game, I find 2 of them odd.

So after 10,000 simulations, they have the 49ers winning 50.1% of them. But then they break it down into the odds of a blow-out or a close game. Surprisingly, they give the Falcons the slight edge on blowouts (24.6% to 24.2) despite the Falcons rarely putting teams away, and they give the 49ers the slight edge on a close game (13.8 to 13.6) despite the Falcons winning almost every close game they've been in over the last few years.

I'm going to be curious if the NAACP or Al Sharpton or some other minority organization will take issue with the NFL's coaching and GM hirings this offseason. There were 13 head coach or GM openings, and 12 of the jobs have been filled so far with white candidates and the only remaining opening is the Jets GM job which is also going to end up going to a white candidate.

I'm shocked Lovie didn't get a HC job somewhere, unless it was his choice. Crennel doesn't surprise me though.

Lovie wanted a job and interviewed with the Eagles, Chargers, and Bills but never seemed to get any real consideration and those interviews could have been shams to satisfy the Rooney Rule. Lovie is getting paid $5 million from the Bears next season and is expected to sit out next season rather than getting a defensive coordinator job.
