Simple if hes running in I formation he could play a decoy similar to wildcat or he could actually pass once in a while in a rare situation. Toss him out in a WR set and let him bomb the ball similar to Hines Ward.

Why would the Patriots play their card this early? I have a really hard time believing New England would sign him to only play quarterback when there are much more competent #3 quarterbacks that are currently free agents. It's pretty obvious the Patriots are going to attempt using him in a lot of schemes.
His stats as bad as they are passing are very much in line with where other superstar qbs have been through the same amount of games...

Here's how I think the Tebow thing could play out:
This season he's the third string quarterback and almost certainly never sees the field. They spend the season working with him trying to turn him into a better passer. Then after this season they trade Ryan Mallett. There was some interest in Mallett prior to this year's draft but the Pats weren't interested in trading him. That would likely change after the season when Mallett only has a year left on his rookie deal. If they traded Mallett they could make Tebow the backup and potentially draft a QB somewhat high in 2014 as a potential QB of the future. Following the 2014 season Tebow would then be a free agent and I could see multiple teams being interested in him as he would be better suited to be an NFL QB with 2 years learning from Brady.

Like which ones? He's a sub 50% passer with less than 125 yds/game.....

Wait.... what? You think the Pats signed him entirely out of the goodness of Belichick's black, empty void in his chest?

What an idiot. Drag racing and trying to flee the police.

Eagles star booked in La. for alleged drag racing

Five-time Pro Bowler Jason Peters of the Philadelphia Eagles was arrested in north Louisiana early Wednesday for allegedly drag racing and trying to flee from police, authorities said.

The Monroe (La.) News-Star reports (http://www.thenewsstar.com/needlogin...-racing-US-165 ) that Peters was released on bond Wednesday after his early morning arrest. An arrest affidavit obtained by the newspaper says an Ouachita (WAH' shih TAH) Parish Sheriff's Office deputy saw a white Camaro and a blue sedan in what appeared to be a race at 4:45 a.m.

The sedan's driver pulled over when the deputy activated his lights. Authorities said the Camaro driver, identified as Jason R. Peters, led the deputy on a chase at speeds exceeding 100 mph before finally stopping at a shopping mall parking lot.

Peters was booked with drag racing and resisting by flight.

It wasn't clear if he has an attorney.

The Eagles said in a statement, ''We are aware of the reports that Jason Peters was arrested this morning in Louisiana. We have been in contact with Jason and due to the legal nature of this matter, we will not have any further comment at this point.''

Peters missed last year after tearing an Achilles tendon.

According to NFL.com, Peters recently said he was fully recovered from recent Achilles tendon surgery and was willing to walk away from football if he didn't recapture his pre-injury form this coming year.

A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Peters is widely considered one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL. He spent his first five seasons with Buffalo before coming to Philadelphia in 2009.

There's going to be a lot more stories like this with minicamps ending and the players having the next 5 weeks off until training camp. There are always a lot more arrests when the players have an abundance of free time.

Rob Gronkowski will undergo back surgery Tuesday in Los Angeles. The recovery time is expected to be 12 weeks; six weeks of rest and six to rebuild strength and resume conditioning. 12 weeks -- or 84 days -- from Tuesday, June 18 would be September 10. The Patriots visit the Bills on September 8, so obviously Gronkowski is going to be in a race to play the opener. Most likely, he won't make it. Gronkowski will open training camp on the active/PUP list. It's not out of the question that he'll stay there for the first six games of the season, although that decision is not imminent.

No. Go look at guys like eli manning over the same amount of games played they're all equally awful stats... Eli just picked it up quickly after and never looked back. I could find 10+ names that'll probably or already are in the HOF who had the same equally awful start, and found a groove and turned amazing. I'm not saying he'll play 3 more games and become great, but to again foolishly say its impossible, however small the probability is seems to be quite foolish to me.

People drive fast no biggie if you get busted pull over and take the consequences, thats where he's a dumb a$$. 4am I doubt he or the blue sedan were putting many people in danger, other than themselves.

The Cincinnati Bengals will be featured on HBO's "Hard Knocks: Training Camp" for the second time in five seasons, according to media reports.

The official announcement from HBO and the NFL is expected next week, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. The Bengals also were featured in 2009.

The news originally was reported on Twitter by Philadelphia Daily News writer Paul Domowitch, who later deleted his tweet. The Cincinnati Enquirer then confirmed the news through league sources.

There was little interest among teams in appearing on the popular reality series this year, with only one team other than the Bengals showing interest, the Enquirer said. Sources told ESPN last year that both the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons declined to appear on the 2012 edition.

The Bengals went 10-6 in 2009 and won the AFC North. At the time, quarterback Carson Palmer and wide receiver Chad Johnson led the team. They have since been replaced by Andy Dalton and A.J. Green. Coach Marvin Lewis will be on the show for a third time (he made his first appearance as the Baltimore Ravens' defensive coordinator in 2001, the debut season). Only 13 current Bengals players were with the team in 2009, the Enquirer said.

The other teams to star on the show in previous seasons were the Dallas Cowboys (2002 and 2008), Kansas City Chiefs (2007), New York Jets (2010) and Miami Dolphins (2012)

Quote:
The Super Bowl ring is one of the greatest symbols of athletic triumph. NFL players have been known to break down when they can finally fit that particular bit of jewelry on their fingers, and I've met enough former players, coaches, and executives who would never be separated from their rings to know that the buzz lasts forever. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has three such rings from his team's wins in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX. The ring Kraft won for that last Super Bowl, at the end of the 2004 season, went missing in a very unusual way.
As the story goes, Kraft met Russian President Vladimir Putin at a gathering of business and political leaders at Konstantinovsky Palace near St. Petersburg, Russia, in June of 2005. Kraft and Putin talked a while, Kraft took off his ring to show it to Putin, and Putin promptly put the ring in his pocket and walked off.

Cruz signs one-year, $2.879 million tender

Quote:
After months of talking and a switch of agents, though, the two sides aren’t much closer than they’ve been for the last few weeks. According to one source who has been in contact with Cruz’s camp, the Giants’ latest offer is worth an average of more than $8 million per season. But word is that Cruz, who was once looking to be paid the $11 million per year that No. 1 receivers have been getting in free agency lately, is refusing to settle for anything less an average of $9 million.
$9M? That's an awful lot for a slot receiver.
