Yes, the prestigious AP Al-Pro Team. Luckily McNabb was a 6 time Pro Bowler. He will make the Hall of Fame.

He was the QB of the team that was the best in the NFC for I believe 7 years, granted Jim Johnson(RIP) and Brian Westbrook had something to do with that. I also think he'll get in eventually, even if it has to happen when he's old.

Most of those were injury replacement alternate selections.

Doesn't matter what it was, he was still selected to be on the NFC Pro Bowl team 6 times.

I'd put him in the HOF if he'd retired a redskin.

Thank god for 9hrs of training camp live

No he won't. He's right on the border of making the HOF numbers-wise. But I'll bet he does't make it. At least not for a very long time if ever.

I always liked McNabb as a player but Pro Bowls are a terrible way to judge HOF talent. Vince Young and Kerry Collins made the Pro Bowl 2 times. Trent Dilfer made a Pro Bowl AND won a Super Bowl. Making an NFL Pro Bowl as a QB several times isn't hard.

The AP All Pro Team is a far more prestigious honor than being selected to the Pro Bowl. So many players bow out of the Pro Bowl it ends up with mid tier players starting.

McNabb will not make the HoF. There's no question about it.

I'm not even a McNabb hater. I'm one of the few people who actually consider him to have been one of the best QBs in the league when he was in his prime. He never got the props he deserved. That said, he's still not a Hall of Famer.

I'd love to believe that Steve McNair, Eddie George, and Derrick Mason will all be Hall of Famers one day, but I know it's not going to happen.

QBs drafted since 1998 that could retire today and make the Hall of Fame:

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Drew Brees

That's it. That's how exclusive the Hall of Fame is. You can't just throw any player in there just because they had a few great seasons. Daunte Culpepper was dominant in the early 2000s. Shaun Alexander, Clinton Portis, Ricky Williams, Tiki Barber, etc... all great players, but not for a long enough period of time. If you let McNabb in, you'll have to start letting in 15-20 players every year.

It needs to remain exclusive.

And before anyone says "What about Rodgers, Eli, and Big Ben?"... well, I think they'll all make it, but they either haven't been dominant enough to retire today and make it in or they haven't been at it long enough (Rodgers). They need to continue with their careers and add to their legacy.

As much as it pains me to say this your leaving Eli off that list, with 2x SB he is HOF because he proved the first was no fluke.

I think if Eli went down with an unfortunate career-ending injury right now he'd still make the HOF. Rodgers and Roethlisberger probably just need a couple more good years and they're in. Though I think Roethlisberger's off the field rep might force him to wait a few years post-retirement. The NFL HOF voters like to make guys wait who they preceive as having character flaws.

Chance Warmack signed today, so every draft pick has now signed. It's a nice change from before the current CBA where many picks weren't signed until midway through training camp and some holdouts lasted into the season.

dude would have probably been run out of indy if he had to carry the defense the way Payton did. Defense (mostly the front 4/7) carried him and that whole team both times.

I picked the Giants to win it all when they snuck into the playoffs in 2011, so I definitely believe in Eli.

Immediately after they did win it all for the second time in four years, I said Eli is without a doubt a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Then I saw him play in 2012 and was once again unimpressed. He is absolutely money in the playoffs, but he seems to have a hard time getting there on a consistent basis. Plus, he was my FF QB last season... which cost me the championship and frustrated the hell out of me.

Texans sign ILB Joe Mays. Matt Schaub's ear is safe this year and we could use the help at linebacker.
