Yep. Hey, I wish he was our QB because he is a legitimate starter in this league. My problem is the media and ESPN act as if he's an elite QB and the second coming of Jesus. He has been average so far IMO. Definitely could become elite, but I haven't been overly impressed.

His last name has seemed to define him at times. Dude is very lucky.

After each game the NFL reviews game film to see if the official scorer got plays correct, and it appears that one of Peyton Manning's passes Sunday may have actually been a backwards pass and thus it would be deemed a running play. Normally this doesn't really matter, but Manning broke Drew Brees' single season passing yardage record by 1 yard, so if the play is ruled a run Brees will keep the record. The play is in the linked article, and while I'm obviously not unbiased as somebody who isn't a Manning fan it seems pretty clear to me that the pass is backwards. I don't know if it will be definitive enough for the league to take the record from Manning though.

Damn that would be jacked up if they took the record from him because of their mistake. The league is going to sweep this under the rug.

The Colts have received an extension from the NFL to sellout their playoff game Saturday. They have 6,000 unsold tickets and if they fail to sellout the game it will be blacked out locally, although I doubt Jim Irsay or the local NBC affiliate would let them happen and they will buy any unsold seats. Still it's surprising that an extension is needed, as they never have problems selling out games. One reasons ticket sales have been slow may be that the game starts 2 1/2 hours after Indiana hosts #5 Michigan State in basketball, so people that go to the football game won't be able to watch the basketball game.

Edit: Packers are doing even worse, as they have 15,000 tickets available.

I don't recall a game in the past where an NFL team had trouble selling a playoff tickets. The city of Indy known well in advance that they were most likely going to host a Playoff game on Wild Card weekend. Though if or when it comes down to meeting the ticket sales deadline. No owner in the NFL would let their home playoff game blackout and just buy the remainer seats.

No chance I am willing to pay $100/ticket. I have two outer market DirecTv accounts at work, I will be watching the game regardless

The last playoff game to be blacked out was in 2002 when the Dolphins hosted the Ravens. The only other blacked out playoff game was in 1993 when the Bills defeated the Oilers in the greatest comeback in NFL history, a game that wasn't seen in western New York since the game was blacked out.

Philly is the only team that isn't having trouble selling tickets. They will be releasing about 3,000 upper level and standing room seats this afternoon but those are expected to sell quickly.

How the hell are multiple teams not selling out playoff games?

What's the cheapest playoff ticket available? I'm free this weekend and wouldn't mind taking a road trip up to Indy or Cincy to cheer for the Chiefs or Bengals.

I don't think so (that it would be jacked up). It will suck sure but now the record is tainted regardless. It should revert back to Brees.

Give the record back to the Saints' QB.

It took Brees all of 16 games to get that record. Peyton broke it in 15 and a half. Just let him keep it.

Sure...why not. Let's go back a year and give Peterson a few extra yards as well. We all know he deserved it too since he was coming off that injury.

I agree with that it is tainted now, it sucks for both players. You can't tell me that Petyon wouldn't have broke it in the second half, if not for the screw up.

I agree, he would have broken it for sure which is why this situation just stinks in general.
