Cutler finally throws a TD. Still awful stats for the game with 1 TD, 3 picks and 10-25 passing.

I hope he throws another incompletion so he can have more attempts than QB rating.

no qb would be very good with an o-line taht the bears have.. the dude was sacked 7 times and rushed/hurried more then 15.. plus the first int to Bennett was not his fault, marshall dropped an easy td in the endzone.. it was a just a horrible game all around for the Bears.. I dont blame Cutler for what happened tonight

And yet, for 4 years the Bears have refused to improve their offensive line.

I do. Cutler is just as much to blame as the oline. He has no pocket awareness at all and panics at any amount of pressure. Cutler needs to learn to move around, change the plays, etc. That's what separates the average from the good to the very good. This guy has been through multiple offensive coordinators and still hasn't learned what goes on out on the field. The oline isn't perfect but Cutler has to be better than what he has shown. Blaming the oline can only go so far IMO.

what an ugly defensive struggle that killed a bunch of fantasy teams (unless you were starting Packer D)

wasn't it just last year or 2010 when cutler got sacked 10 times in a game?

Your referring to the Giant game debacle. I believe he got sacked 9 times in that game not 10 but it felt like more. In the end it's the same ole' OL with Webb being by far the worst tackle in the NFL.

Sacks throughout his career

2006-DEN 13
2007-DEN 27
2008-DEN 11
2009-CHI 35
2010-CHI 52
2011-CHI 23

i have to disagree with you here..he had a great line in Denver and clearly played well there.. and as you can see didn't get sacked much at all.. the dude comes to Chicago and takes more beatings then he has in his whole career, even dating back to when he was at Vandy.. and yet he still puts up decent numbers being rushed everytime he drops back.. i give him props, just imagine if Chicago's oline new how to pass block, the team could be a NFC championship contender year after year

He didn't have a great line in Denver. I don't think anyone besides you is going to characterize that line as great.

Rodgers got sacked 5 times and he didn't throw all those picks, most teams in the league don't have very good olines these days.Cutler is not very good. He has a strong arm but his pocket awareness and other intangibles aren't there to make him one of the best in the league.

2006 broncos
Tatum Bell 233 atts 1025 yds 2 tds
Mike Bell 157 atts 677 yds 8 tds

2007 broncos
Selvin Young 140 atts 729 yds 1 td
Travis Henry 167 atts 691 yds 4 tds

2008 broncos (pretty much RBBC)
Peyton Hillis 68 atts 343 yds 5 tds
Michael Pittman 76 atts 320 yds 4 tds
Selvin Young 61 atts 303 yds 1 td
Tatum Bell 44 atts 249 yds 2 tds

these numbers pretty much say taht these no name running backs (excluding Henry and Hillis's 2 year fame) did a pretty damn good job running behind denvers horrible line like you stated.. so according to this, fact is denver had a pretty good line to give guys like these some great ypc avg.. i didnt say Cutler played great tonight, but he wasn't given a fair chance.. im not even a Bears fan just for the record so don't think im putting cutler on this pedistle.. fact is Cutler had a great line in denver for the 3 years he was there.. look what the line did for hte running game! shall i pull up Culters rushing and throwing stats as well? i think i proved my point and backed it up with some good evidence, so i guess i can't be the only guy that thought denver had a good line for these years, just agre with me their is no shame my friend

There can be a huge difference between a line's ability to protect the run and protect the pass.

What a fantastic game for the Packers D last night!!

That was the team I was expecting to see this season…hopefully it’s not just a 1 week thing!!

Our Offense still looks sluggish and I think teams are figuring out how to put the clamp on Rodgers….really glad to see Benson w/20 carries and 80 yards though!! Hopefully he can find a groove and start knocking out 100/110 yards a game!!

SOOOO happy to see Matthews playing so good after 2 games!!! And Tramon Williams showing flashes of his play from the Super Bowl season a couple years ago!!!

Didn’t understand the hype the Bears were getting after Sunday….they beat the Colts for crying out loud!!!

Really glad to see Cutler eat his words after talking so much crap before the game!!!

And did Masthy have a higher QB rating than Cutler w/that fake FG pass for TD??

Charles Woodson definitely had the burn of the week in his postgame interview:

Quote:
“Heard some talk out of the Bears: Packers secondary not working coverage, bigger receivers … we heard about it,” Woodson told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it’s the same-old Jay. We don’t need luck; Jay will throw us the ball.”
