Redskins were down 17 and had our line not been so horrid the refs probably would have blown that game for cinci as-well as RG3 was wrecking them on the last drive when they didn't do the 10 second run off (thankfully our line played true to form and blew it themselves). Maryland lost to NC State after being up 27 points in the 3rd quarter, I just find it odd if a team isn't winning a majority of the 60 minutes that entitles them to being cheated out of a win regardless of how sloppy it is.

Except for the fact that one really bad pass interference call happened against the Seahawks on the drive in which the Pack scored to go ahead 12-7, and allowed the drive to continue.

The calls aren't comparable, but you can't flippantly say that the end-of-game call was the be-all end-all of the entire game.

This whole situation really sticks in my craw. I despise Pete Carroll and wish he could find a way to go worse than 0-16 every year.

We can agree to disagree then because I look at how much different GB looked in the 2nd half compared to the first after they made adjustments and went away from the gameplan. Had GB made these adjustments they might have looked as good int he first half compared to the second. Maybe they would have been inside the 20 in the first half and maybe just maybe they might have gotten a 2nd TD. It seems most people are looking at this in terms of total yards not in the trenches where most of this game was played. Seattles Defensive line absolutely decimated the front 5 of the Packers. I just don't think this is one of those games where the entire game comes down to 1 call. Had the game been like 21 - 21 and both offenses had near 270 yards and were moving the ball consistently I would agree with you. However i think we can all agree we have seen GB play much better and do much better at there offensive blocking schemes.

If you look at what the giants did last year its almost like the blueprint established for the patriots by the eagles in 2007 which went on to be used in every subsequent game and finally resulted in a loss, and while it isn't some new concept its clear if you get rough with them, and really hit them it can throw them off big time.

NFL Statement above

WTF GAME WERE THEY WATCHING

As we all saw Jennings Had control then Tate got control so the call is totally wrong
How do they say this stuff with a straight face? I fully expected the NFL to admit the mistake but claim the refs are doing a great job in spite of that missed call. I never thought they'd just outright lie and claim the call was correct.

Whose putting out these press releases for the NFL, Baghdad Bob?

Any NFL game has a series of judgment calls, some of which have a greater impact than others. The last call of the game wasn't the only bad call, but it had the most tangible and immediate impact on the game's outcome. A bunch of bad calls preceding it doesn't change this fact any more than no bad calls would.

Since you're referring to my comment, I'll respond.

You argue that "should have/could have situations" are irrelevant. Therefore, saying the refs should have gotten the call correct is equally irrelevant. But since the whole uproar is about what the refs should have done, any other hypothetical situations—including Green Bay playing better—are fair game. It's not "absurd" to think so. That's a word I would reserve for comparing a football game to a policeman getting shot in the line of duty.

Also of interest in that statement is the NFL said the refs erred in not calling pass interference on Tate.

Agreed, and its the coaches job to make changes to the game plan, which wasn't done until the 2nd half. If you look at the difference in the scheme its obvious 1 sack in the 2nd half that was it, compared to 8 in the first.

NFL is never going to say "our ref screwed up"....it will look bad on them.

I heard that 250 million dollars were exchanged hands on Monday's night game. Ouch.... A lot of money in sport gambling....

I have a feeling that ref is not going to work again for his own safety...

Yes, supposedly 85% of bets were on Green Bay, who was favored by about 3.5 points. Had it been ruled a pick Packers would have won by 5 and covered the spread.

I had $20 on GB -3.5. (yes, bias) A buddy was trying to lower his debt to me so it wasn't actually cash out of pocket, but it's still frustrating to lose money because of someone else's incompetence.

As a Bears fan seeing the NFL's golden team get screwed...

That's two prime time games in two days being messed up due to poor officiating..obviously with last nights being the worst.

Arron Rodgers said he used a kicking ball for the two point conversion that they missed last night... Those balls are more slick... How does that happen?

They probably didn't change the ball from the previous possession, or the ball boy didn't wipe the ball properly. Could be different factors.
