Well that's never good. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Mike Patterson of Eagles has seizure

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson likely will stay overnight at a hospital after suffering a seizure at training camp at Lehigh University, trainer Rick Burkholder said Wednesday.

Patterson dropped to the ground between plays during a morning practice, and the player began violently shaking. He was immediately tended to by Burkholder and his staff, with assistance from rookie offensive lineman Danny Watkins, a trained firefighter.

Burkholder said the 6-foot-1, 300-pound Patterson was undergoing further tests at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

"Chances are really good we're going to keep him in overnight for observation," Burkholder said. "He's there with his wife. The only thing that we've really ruled out, he didn't have any bleeding in his brain or anything like that. The bleeding that some of you saw was that he bit his tongue, they've confirmed that, and they're running more tests on him right now.

"But he's very stable. He wants to come back to training camp, but he's over there being observed, but that's pretty normal for somebody who has a seizure. Standard protocol says keep him in overnight to watch him and keep some monitors on him and whatnot."

EDIT: Way to lock up Hali long term KC! In Pioli we trust!

It will be interesting to see if Goodell is losing any power in the new CBA. Yesterday he was adamant that the personal conduct policy will stay how it's been and that he wouldn't even consider giving an external body any power over fines and suspensions, and I can't imagine that stance changed over the course of the day. A couple others issues to keep an eye on are whether players can be punished for things that happened during the lockout and if there will be blood testing for HGH.

Chiefs probably take the division, with the Raiders and Chargers duking it out for second and the Broncos coming in last, wait didn't we just do this?

NFLN says:

"Hearing no changes to Commish powers on off-field discipline in new CBA, some changes with on-field discipline and no HGH testing"

Yeah but that was with Asomugha and Miller. OAK lost a lot this off-season and didn't make any big strides to be more competitive. Denver did.

also, Gradkowski is gone now so it's ALL up to Jason Campbell and his safety net (Miller) is gone. I really can't see the Raiders getting more than 6 wins this year. sorry Nav.

I know, but were still not the worst team in our division, Raiders will go at least 8-8 this year... Obviously im a homer, but we'll surprise alot of people this year...
[Show spoiler]I hope

With Gradkowski 9who's no star or anything) at the helm I could see 8-8. But with all the losses and no gains I can't see it. It makes no sense to me either since Miller and Asomugha leaving should have made plenty of cap space to get new talents.
