Biggest outlier here is Denver, w/Houston being the other major outlier.

When most teams are this close in Rank to SOS that just screams parity to me.

I dunno, maybe nobody else is interested in this but I found it fascinating. Typing this up gives me more respect for Green Bay, Houston, and Denver.

I guess it's going to take a playoff win for the Falcons to get any credit.

Look at those bad AFC teams... they also get the roughest schedule, poor guys can't get a break.

It's really a bit misleading. Think about it. If you're 8-0, your opponents instantly have 8 losses. If you're 1-7, it's 7 wins.

It's going to take more than one win. They have a loaded roster and one of the best quarterbacks in the game. I believe they can go on a deep playoff run, but they need to get it done. An early exit and Mike Smith will take on a lot of heat about his job security.

He shouldn't. Why do people ignore that their 3 playoff losses were to the NFC Champions? And the last 2 to the Super Bowl Champions.

This year? No. I don't think you fire a coach who is 51-21 with more games this year because they lose to better teams in the playoffs. I mean, seriously... the 3 teams they've lost to in the playoffs are 11-1 during those postseasons.

No he wont lol Smiths job is safe, you dont go 8-1 and lose your job if you get bounced from playoffs

If it happens often enough you do. Winning in the playoffs is all that matters especially in today's sports.

yeah but they got curb stomped by Rodgers and the Packers when they were the # 6 seed!! w/how the Falcons were playing that year, that should've never happened!!! and it happened IN Atlanta!!

Word is coming out that Greg Jennings may be back on the 25th for the Packers

Player notes Mon, Nov 12

WR Greg Jennings talked in the locker room Monday, but the veteran standout was mum about when he will play his next game. "I have a target in my own mind," Jennings said. "It's in my mind. (But) I'm going to keep it right there." Jennings is recovering from surgery he underwent Nov. 1 for a lower abdominal tear. He has missed the last five games after aggravating the injury in the Sept. 30 win over New Orleans. Jennings said he was told by specialist William Meyers, who performed the surgery in Philadelphia, that he would be able to "run full speed" three weeks after having the procedure. "I'll be able to open up, run full speed," Jennings said. "He didn't say I'd be pain-free in doing so, but I'm pain free (now), so ... " Jennings isn't sure whether he would be cleared to play after the projected three weeks of recovery, which could make him available for the Nov. 25 game at the New York Giants.
