There's no way the NFLPA is going to agree to a deal where you have to have 6 years of service to be an unrestricted free agent, and the NFL is not going to push the issue. Both Holmes and Cromartie will end up being unrestricted free agents.

Just filed 2 ESPNDallas - Cowboys put 1st and 3d tender on Doug Free. Hatcher, Bowen get 2d rounder. Ball gets ROFR. Hurd not tendered.

Still surprised they didn't franchise Free, somebody may snatch him up for a 1st and a 3rd...

Some believe the TV money was going to keep NFL owners afloat and if they don't have it, they will need the games to be played. We'll see.

There's no way in hell anyone would give up a first and third for Free. He's a slightly above average tackle. The Cowboys could be in some serious trouble though if the new CBA dictates that players with 4 years of service are free agents. They are already thin at tackle and could be in serious trouble if they lost Free.

Saints agreed to terms with DL Shaun Rogers on a one-year, $4 million contract.
The Big Baby is headed to the Big Easy. Rogers reported turned down a $6 million offer to sign close to his Houston home while joining a contender. Though he can still play the nose, Rogers' ideal fit is as a three-technique pocket-collapsing gap shooter next to a run-plugging tackle, such as the Saints' Sedrick Ellis. If he's motivated and in shape come August, Rogers will give coordinator Gregg Williams a difference-maker up front.

Didn't say they would just saying if it did I wouldn't pass it up. Even IF(a big IF) the CBA dictates that players with 4 years of service are free agents. The Cowboys won't let Free go or they can sign someone else to fill that position.

Ravens signed franchise player DT Haloti Ngata to a one-year, $12.476 million franchise tender.
The Ravens couldn't even offer Ngata an extension because he earned 30 percent more in 2010 than he did in 2009. The team has targeted a long-term deal for Ngata as its highest priority once the new CBA is finalized. Ngata is believed to be seeking a deal worth roughly $15 million per season. Signing the tender is confirmation that both sides are committed to reaching a long-term deal.

Free is worth a 3rd round pick since he is a above average tackle like FatDiesel said

Yeah he isn't bad he just isn't someone you'd take if you knew you could get someone better.

I think Dowling would be a great late round pick up for the cowboys who need secondary help badly.

Eagles signed franchise player Michael Vick to a one-year, $15.975 million contract.
Vick and Peyton Manning were both tendered the "exclusive" franchise tag, meaning they cannot negotiate with other teams. Manning's tag is worth roughly $23 million because his salary is set at 120 percent of his 2010 wage after being assigned the Colts' franchise player for the second time (2004). Vick is cemented as Philly's 2011 starter, and the sides hope to come to agreement on a long-term deal once the CBA is resolved.

One kinda has to wonder why they're having the draft if there's a lock-out looming, it's not like players can report to their respective teams, are they going to revert back to the "college level" after 2011?

Yeah, that is him and that was a incredible catch! If it was not for that catch, Giants may have lost the Superbowl
