As a Falcons fan, I know what kind of role an arrest or police investigation can have right before a big game. Eugene Robinson is a bad word in Atlanta.

Don't read too much into. People always do something like this to get tons of cash out of people. Why did the woman wait so long, or present anything to say he's guilty? Sounds like set-up. If there were any evidence he should have been arrested last week.

Like I said, Gee all of a sudden something like this happens before a big game. Why didn't the woman go straight to the police after the "alleged encounter" when it originally happen? Just trying to press someone before a big game for a big cash payment.

Nothing about it gives any timeline other than it happened Sunday and he's been interviewed. For all you know, it was reported on Sunday and its been under investigation. It really is sick how loose people in this country (and the world) treat rape and sexual assault as some sort of joke. Rich and famous people commit rape. They commit it in their off seasons. They commit it before big games. The fact is you know nothing about what happened and you're attacking an alleged victim of a heinous crime.

I never said he did it. But he has been accused of a serious crime that you are writing off because of your perception of when and how it was reported to police.
