I'm not sure where i stated i don't understand rivalries, or don't care about why others feel the way they do. Kind of a silly comment to my post, since you're missing the point of what i wrote.

Ask a Buffalo Bills fan who tailgates at the stadium starting on Friday for a Sunday game, and has done so for 20+ years and ate slept and lived the team, or spent hundreds of thousands of dollars buying merch, tickets, exc. for decades. If you can't understand why someone would get defensive or even irrational about their team.. Well to put it simply, that would be not understanding

This i can see, though it's not matter of not caring. It's a matter of enjoying football, and not being constrained by the limitations "being a fan" puts on a person. I care, i just choose not to set my mind to one particular team, and not give a shit about the other 31 teams.

This is pretty dumb, buddy. If you honestly think i should "understand" why being a fan of a team should come in between friends, and causes people to verbally and physically confront each other, i am glad i don't know you. Being defensive is one thing, but taking it too far is a different matter entirely. If that's the way you feel, i suppose you're ok with Ajax and Feyenoord fans beating each other's skulls open with hammers and crowbars....because, let's face it...that's just being irrational over a soccer team rivalry, right?

Nobody said its ok to "break up friendships", or enact violence (but I'd truly love you to show me where I said that), What I said is there is a logical correlation to draw between someone having that much passion tide up in something and them acting irrationally or causing irreparable harm to a relationship. That is where understanding comes in (which is why I understand when Nav is pissed about a raiders loss, and they understand when I'm pissed about a skins loss)

*and actually you can go back a few pages and read my comments on the 49ers falcons stabbing. Let me know if you need me to break those down too

There's nothing that shows that Wilson was even aware that his agent was asking for a new contract, and I find it a little unbelievable that his agent would even ask for a new deal because he'd know that the CBA prohibits teams from changing a rookie's deal until after the third year. I think Mort had to have gotten some bad information somewhere or there was a miscommunication of some sort because it doesn't make a lot of sense to ask for something you know is impossible to get.
