Sorry lol had to get that in there, me and a few buddies always wanted to take a roadtrip up there in the middle of Dec just to tailgate from Det, just because its Lambeau Field. Tailgating in Det just isn't the same as everywhere else. We have to tailgate like 1 mile away from the stadium then walk. Lambeau is Lambeau town is shut down on Sundays everyone at the game, its a great football town.
Honestly Detroit is the only team in the division right now that scares me a little. Good luck except against the Packers this year. I thought I had it bad growing up with the Packers in the 70s and 80s... well it could have been worse. I could have been a Lions fan.

I was at the Detroit game at Lambeau last year.... honestly that game was a struggle for the Packers and I seriously doubted their SB talk from early in the year.

Well said, you can do only so much to prevent things like this, but its going to happen regardless as their are always a few bad apples (dumbasses) who ruin things for everyone....

Every team has loser fans... it's just football people. I have met my share of ignorant fans from other teams in the division and fans of my squad as well. I don't know if its a lack a civility, education or the diluted gene pool.

Some people don't know when to quit. What used to be a little ribbing has escalated to trash talking to fights to shootings. Sad fact is that most of this people are just looking for an excuse and if wasn't football they would find another reason to cause mayhem.

Minn is a Joke... Chicago has Major O line issues... GB hasn't looked all that hot this pre-season... Det right now has injury issues... So right now the division is truly up in the air. Of all the divisions tho aside from the Eagles and Pats, I truly believe we have the best division for good defensive games. I honestly feel tho that Det vs Gb and Det vs Chi is gonna be a push, it is all going to come down to who can defeat Minn 2x and who cant.

Do not confuse good defense with lack of offense in the division. Only GB has both.

What a colossal waste of time. All this means is people will get wasted tailgating for 3 or so hours before kickoff, then go into the stadium and drink more. Sounds like a play to get people to buy more of their alcohol inside the stadium to me. This isn't an honest attempt to crack down on drunken idiots.

u r saying good defensive games and you quote "Det had a top 15 offense last year" Where are the defenses then? u gonna quote some top 10 defense now? Minn and Chicago...i don't think so. Only "defensive games" in this division is when Detroit, Chicago, and Minn play each other. Would love to see Detroit's qb play the whole season but that ain't gonna happen. If he does, then Det Vs GB would be great. No hope for my Vikings as we do not have a qb...hopefully I am wrong but can't see McNabb helping.

I haven't been to any Jaguar games for a few years but when I use to go I'd get there at least 2-3 hours early and get hammered before the game even started. Same deal with probably half the crowd. Unless the game has a very early kickoff people tailgate/drink all day before the games even start. I really don't see how ending tailgating at kickoff makes any difference.

Funny thing is my college UCF doesn't allow any alcohol to be sold in the stadium on campus because they claim it's a "dry campus." Thing is not only do the college kids take up every green space on campus getting wasted before games, we also have a bar on campus. Both the NFL teams and college football are terrible when it comes to implementing rules against drinking on game day.

Why anyone would want Bryant Mckinnie's fat, lazy ass on their team is beyond me. Especially a team like the Ravens who already have Oher. Paying 7.5 for a back up makes no sense to me.

I don't read too much into pre-season play. Some coaches game plan these games and most don't. They are more about evaluating talent, but some coaches like Denny Green years ago were determined to win these games to create a positive feel in the locker room.

First off Oher is seriously overrated. If it wasn't for The Blind Side nobody would know who he is and he'd just be a solid but unspectacular first round pick. Last year when he got moved to left tackle (aka the blind side) he was a below average tackle. He belongs at right tackle. Second off they don't have a tackle to play opposite Oher. Their projected starting right tackle was Mark LeVoir, who the Patriots released last Wednesday. If McKinnie has been working out and getting back into shape since his release from the Vikings he should be able to step in immediately and become their starting left tackle and Oher should get moved back to the right side.

First off your twisting my words No Det D was rated 19 last year only GB was rated higher then 15. Right now Stafford looks off the hook, as a Det fan this is the first time in 14 years im excited for my team. This is the first year as fans we have something to be hopeful for. IE 4-0 in Preseason what 0-16 regular, yes I know preseason dont mean anything but for once our Defence looks mean and has some DT/DE that gives that impression. Can I see a top 15 D with that front line and LB core yes, top 10 wont happen with our horrid secondary.

Collins announced his retirement last month and I've got to think there's a real chance that Manning's injury is serious enough that it could require him to miss some time for Collins to agree to a contract.

Edit: Chris Mortensen said the Colts don't believe Manning will be ready for the regular season opener.

Jack Del Rio confirmed Tuesday that David Garrard has successfully held off rookie Blaine Gabbert for the Week 1 quarterback job.
The Jags upped Gabbert's first-team reps last week, but he never made much of a run at Garrard's job with zero touchdowns and a minuscule 4.64 YPA in four preseason quarters. Del Rio isn't exactly thrilled with Garrard's work so far, suggesting the offense needs to show more efficiency in this week's "tune-up" game. Garrard isn't a desirable QB2 this year with Gabbert looming as an in-game replacement.

McKinnie on the O-line is like having a revolving door. He gets beat way to much for anyone to actually consider him a legitamite #1 LT. And as for him getting back into shape, unlikely. The guy vowed he was going to lose some weight this offseason after finishing at 360 pounds but that clearly didn't happen. Oher is going into only his 3rd season and actually has potential to be a good LT.

Bears WRs coach Darryl Drake made it clear Wednesday that Roy Williams' starting job is in danger based on his conditioning and performance.
"He understands that Johnny (Knox) is there, and Johnny is hungry, and Johnny wants his spot back," said Drake. "If things don’t start changing, then Johnny is going to be in there. Heard it straight from the horse’s mouth." Drake confirmed Williams is out of shape, and says "Johnny has improved tremendously" in camp. "If Johnny Knox is that guy, then he needs to be out there."

Chris Johnson will be signed. It's just a matter of how soon. He'll play by week 1. No doubt in my mind.

And Jacksonville's QB situation is no worse than about half the teams in the league.

And the Colts will have to put Manning in a straight jacket not to play. He'll put himself in the game if he has to.
