lol I'm looking at dropping my 335i and I got that thing in April for an m3/m5. I can't judge .

The other problem is these guys don't seem to wanna work hard after they leave football. I mean if you jump from football to making 70k+ you're a lot better off then if you say "I'm Vince Young I don't need to work"

It really looks like the Eagles are trying to move Foles. I wonder how high of a pick they will actually get. He's a good looking kid, but I wouldn't give away a top 10 pick for him like they're asking.

Chiefs are interested (duh, Andy Reid), but no way they give up #1. Maybe they can trade down for some later picks and trade like a #15 for him.

I'd love to trade our 2nd rounder for him, but no way the Eagles will agree to that. He's still unproven.

Is your QB a problem?

What happened? I thought Fitzpatrick was a pretty solid QB. Not great, but certainly a starter.

The guy throws WAY too many picks. Fitzpatrick has 54 picks in the last 3 seasons. I think it's the highest of any QB in the league in that span.

I know he's not these guys, but Favre often had lots of INTs and Brees has had issues over the years as well. INTs only tell a part of the picture.

Yeah, Brees has 55 (22, 14, 19)

Ya, but the TD-Int ratio is obvious. Brees has 122 TD and 55 Int in that span. Fitzpatrick has 71 TD and 54 Int in the same span. That's a terrible ratio these days. Fitzpatrick also has a completion rate of around 60%, a bit below the NFL average of 61%. He's not terrible but Fitzpatrick is just a below average NFL starting QB.

But is Foles better? He's willing to give up a 2nd round pick for a guy that went in the 3rd last year.

Absolutely not. I don't understand the hype about Foles being worth a first round pick at all. Personally I don't think he's worth a 2nd round pick. The guy was a 3rd round pick out of college for a reason - he's not very good.

He showed a lot of potential when he took over for Vick at the end of last season. He would certainly be an upgrade over Fitzpatrick for us, he has a big time arm. Fitzpatrick's problem is that his accuracy on anything over 20 yards is terrible. I definitely think Foles would be worth a 2nd rounder, but some team out there is going to give up a 1st, so it's a moot point for me.

Flacco's accuracy on anything over 20 yards is terrible too, and (some) people believe he's worth the highest salary in the NFL.

WTB new QB stats, that actually determine the difference between the QB and his receivers.

Bucs player Da'Quan Bowers could be in some trouble. He was busted for packing a handgun with his things on a NY flight.

Edit - It appears what happened is Bowers realized he had the gun and told the airport security it was in his bag at check in. Problem for Bowers is it isn't a registered gun in NY and they have some rather tough laws on unregistered guns. Namely mandatory jail time as Plaxico Burress found out years ago.

Free agent QB JaMarcus Russell recently registered a 5.2 forty-yard dash and 29-inch vertical as he attempts his NFL comeback.
Russell is training at the TEST Football Academy in San Diego. "I think he's got some hills to climb," acknowledged TEST CEO Brian Martin. Russell's goals are a 4.8 forty time and 33-inch vertical. "I'm heavier than normal," conceded Russell, who weighed 310 when he began his comeback. Russell's weight goal is 265. He's planning a Pro Day-type workout at some point this offseason.

The NFL is proposing an overhaul to its offseason calendar, pushing back the combine to early March, the start of free agency to early April and the draft to early May, according to league sources.

The plan must be approved by the NFL Players Association, but the league already is pushing it aggressively, meeting on the issue most recently -- but not exclusively -- Thursday night in Indianapolis, where the NFL scouting combine is being held.

Under the proposal, all NFL teams also would kick off training camp on the same summer day, making it the official launch of the football season.

The idea is to lengthen the NFL offseason and make sure football is relevant during a longer offseason period with one big event in each month. It also would create a new revenue stream for the NFL, with each event producing added money for the league.

The NFL also wants to expand regional combines as a feeder competition for spots at the official combine in Indianapolis.
As always, this would be a very smart business decision by the NFL.

How would pushing it to march make it more relevant
