The NFL has announced that Blackmon's suspension is for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Marijuana is most often what gets players suspended under the substance abuse policy and it usually takes 3 failed tests to get a 4-game suspension. Usually after a first violation you are put in the league's substance abuse program, which means you're tested more frequently. After a second offense you lose 4 game checks. After a third offense comes the suspension. It's possible Blackmon only tested postive twice because he may have automatically been in the program because of his college drunk driving arrests, but he still had to fail multiple drug tests.

I will never full buy that because it was the same group of guys playing with Kyle Orton and they sucked. Then suddenly Tebow started and things changed. He has that effect on people. That can't be observed at practice.

At first when I read the article. I thought he was being suspended from last years DUI charge, but then read another article that he tested positive for something else. This guy was blooming during the 2nd half of the season and he's making yet another stupid mistake thinking he won't get caught. We're very, very disappointed with Justin Blackmon here in Jacksonville.

Looks like it was Mary Jane he tested positive for, then again him being high and slowing down so your QB can actually throw to him might be a good thing.

With Orton the opponents averaged 28 points.

During Tebow's wins they averaged 16 points.

Yes, I'm sure Tebow's leadership is why the defense suddenly got nearly 2 TDs better per game.

Yea id attribute those stats to time on field, Denver when with tebow ran a lot more so there D was on the field less

Jordan Rodgers is a bum. I watched a couple of his games last year and he was average at best. Matt Scott is the Jags undrafted quarterback that could eventually become something. He only started one season because he had Nick Foles ahead of him but he put up decent numbers. He's got good size and is very mobile. He's not ready to come in and become a starter right away but give him a couple years and he could blossom into a decent QB.
