They had to settle for the Dolphins last year.... they're hoping to get a good team this year.

I don't know that they will, but I could see the Falcons doing it. They've said no in the past largely because they were rebuilding the team or bringing in lots of new faces.

yeah the O line was terrible but, those are still horrendous numbers

Chad Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating his probation. A stupid move by Johnson and possibly an overreaction by the judge led to the jail time:

According to Local10.com, former NFL receiver Chad Johnson appeared in court today in connection with allegations that he violated probation by failing to keep in touch with his probation officer. Though prosecutors initially wanted Johnson to be jailed for the infraction, a plea deal was reached.

Under the terms of the agreement, Johnson’s probation would have been extended to December 21, and he would have performed 25 hours of community service.

“You better thank your lawyer. He did a great job for you,” Broward Circuit Court Judge Kathleen McHugh told Johnson after accepting the agreement.

Johnson responded by slapping attorney Adam Swickle on the butt. Which prompted the judge to call the whole thing off.

She believed Johnson wasn’t taking the situation seriously, so she rejected the plea deal and sentenced him to 30 days in jail.

The Patriots are signing Tim Tebow, per multiple media reports, and he should be at minicamp tomorrow. This makes me happy.

They probably want him as depth at TE behind talented but oft-injured duo Hernandez and Gronkowski.

The Pats released QB Mike Kafka so the only QBs on the roster are Brady and Ryan Mallett so it appears the Pats will use Tebow as a QB.

Duh. Tebow has said repeatedly he would not sign to be anything other than a QB.

u'd think some playing time @ a wing back hybrid or TE would be better than a 3rd string QB behind tom brady!!

Tebow had generated no interest in the month and a half since he was released. His stance about changing positions could have changed in that time. Mike Freeman of CBS Sports says that the Patriots plan for Tebow to spend a lot of time studying with the tight ends, so a position change could be a possibility.
